Interconnections of families within and between cemeteries fascinate me. Its like a giant puzzle. Each connection leads to another. |
My goal is to document these connections and if possible add short biographies with the help of descendants or other sources.
I want these people to have identities...to be more than just a stone in a cemetery. I want their lives to be more than a dash between birth and death dates.
I do have a special interest in the Civil War especially Iowa, Pennsylvania and Virginia since my roots lie in those states.
Surnames of family interest: Bonnett, King , Pollock, Keller, Harsch, Saffell.
Transferring entries is not a problem as long as I am not closely related.
Always happy to make corrections or additions.

I haven't as yet found a grave for Anna, but I believe she may be buried in Muskingum Co., OH, possibly in Blue Rock. She was listed on the census there in 1850 & died in 1855. Her husband Jeremiah was not found in an 1860 OH census but does show up in Cedar Co., IA in 1870, no Anna listed of course. I fear her grave has long since been lost through the years. Maybe someone will locate it one day.

Just wanted to let you know that I got photos of most of the other Steele family members while at Greencastle Cemetery, and will upload them as soon as I can (hopefully tomorrow). One William W was a Civil War soldier, which may interest you. :)

I noticed there are two memorials (Memorial# 64849090) for W E Allen as well as his wife. Also the year he was born is incorrect, it should be 1849.

I discovered that there are 2 memorials to this person. I added one in Aug 2012 along with some links.
Since your memorial (Mar 2008) predates mine (95588219) I will gladly transfer mine to you. If you accept please make sure the links are reestablished.
Let me know and I'll make the transfer.

Thank you so much for the transfer of John Menefee.
And thank you for all your time working on finding and posting burials. It is a tremendous help for the rest of us in connecting our ancestors.

Hello and thank you for your work. You could put my name and contributor number at the bottom and that would be fine. I would be happy to visit with anyone.
