Bio Photo I am a retired teacher who got bitten by the genealogy bug in retirement. Ken and I enjoy taking pictures of headstones in cemeteries which plays a small part in the preservation of family history for many people. If I submitted a photo of your loved one please contact me and I'll transfer it to you. I truly admire all the people who have taken the time to contribute to this wonderful website.

Find A Grave Memorial# 83593075

Hello! I'm curious about where you got the information on Johanna Elise Emilie Mangelsen? I have been trying to locate a death record on her as well as her husband Johann Nissen, as they are my 2nd great grandparents. The only record I have is yours. Any information would be helpful, thanks!

Thank you for the information... very interesting. I would love to have a copy of her obituary... will definitely have to plan a trip over the bridge to the Davenport Library. A transfer isn't necessary though since there is already another memorial in place for her which I created back in 2010... unless of course you do not wish to delete your memorial. Was trying to clear up the confusion and not have two memorials in place for her. Thanks a bunch! -E.M.

Could you verify that you obtained the cemetery record for Olla Odell Chasteen Carter for this cemetery. I had her placed in another cemetery and am scrambling to find where I got the info. But if you can confirm, I can just delete my info.

Harriet Shaw (56039636)
Hi Shirley. I wanted to let you know that Marshall Shaw's obituary indicating that Harriet's maiden name of 'More' is a typo. Her maiden name is actually Moore. Harriet is my grand aunt and daughter of Robert Lee Moore and Effie (Seals) Moore. The harder sell will be her death year. Although her grave marker indicates she died in 1976, she actually died in 1978. Her obituary can be found in the Muscatine Journal, the October 21st 1978 edition. Also, the Social Security Death Index indicates she died in 1978.

I don't know if you'd be willing to help, but I'll ask. I am searching for my Great Grandfather, Harriet's father, Robert Lee Moore. Per the 1940 census, it shows that Robert lived with Marshall and Harriet in 1935-1940. My assumption is that he died in Iowa but I have no information. He would have been born in 1864-1865. My mother recalls that he died around 1940-1942, but she was only a child and may not remember the time correctly.

Thanks for creating the memorials and for any help in advance!
