I have been doing Genealogy for over 30 yrs. and began locating graves and photographing tombstones back in 1980. I mainly add or maintain memorials for my family or my husband's family.|
I have added personal photos to some of these memorials. I went to great lengths to find photos, make negatives and/or scan them, and restore them. Just so you know, beware: Ancestry.com downloads these personal photos for their use without consent and without credit to the source. Since I personally restored my ancestral photos, I am unhappy that they use the results of my work without giving me the credit.

I tried to add Jane but someone else had already claimed it?? It didn't show it as claimed. What about James McPeck that I posted. Do you want me to transfer him to you?

You're very welcome.

YES, Ruth, I always am glad to transfer any memorials I create to a family member.
Sorry, but I no longer save original size photos as it is rare that anyone requests them. But I will send U the pix I do have.
I cannot answer you other than to say that I got that off a page of the burial records at United Brethern Cemetery. Sorry.

Ruth, I reposted the photos to Margaret McAfee's memorial page but I swear I posted those last night. FindaGrave was having technical problems last evening and I was posting quite a few pictures as I just got back from a research trip. Now, I guess, I'm going to have to go back through all of the photos I posted to make sure they are all still there. Thanks for letting me know that Margaret's were missing.
I'm planning another trip in the near future and I'll revisit the Methodist Cemetery in New Rumley. I'll take a closer look at your McAfees and see what else I can find. It got hotter that day (Sunday) than we anticipated and we had to cut our trip short. It was still enjoyable to walk the cemeteries of our ancestors. :)

No problem:) Ruth and John were friends of my grandparents. I got to know Ruth when I delivered books for the Topeka library to where she lived. I now live in Overbrook, so I was glad to go and visit her grave for you:) She was a sweet lady:) I didn't get to know John.
