I found Find-A-Grave accidentally, but I love the idea, hope that it always stays free to the public.|
If there is something I've posted that you question, or are concerned about; please contact me. I'd like to get the information on the memorial as correct and complete as possible.
I try to use as many sources as possible (that I can get to) to get the information correct; such as Cemetery records, Church Records, Funeral home records, County records, State records, obituaries, & from the families; but I know mistakes can be made. Please let me know.
One problem that comes up a LOT, is duplication; since I work mainly from church records, I have no idea if indeed there are 2 cemeteries; or 1 cemetery with various different names that were used over years; both instances have occurred. But what is the right answer?? I have found 1 person who has two stones in 2 cemetery's in 2 different STATES; but where is the body actually?? Or a different person entirely? I can't tell you because I don't know.
Myself? I am researching for my own inter-related family branches as well; Bahr, Baker, Hays, Keyes, Kussmann, McLaughlin, Meeker, Shaw, Visger, and Walker (up to great-great-grandparents and all their siblings so far).
I found a statement about links that is similar to my own beliefs. Myself? I believe in adding information as found because others might not have that particular detail that will help them. I have requested of Melaney Friesen Shaum to be able to use it and with permission, here it is:

Let's help the next family member or researcher that visits a memorial by adding all the family links that we know. When family members are not linked, it makes the next person do the research all over again. Also, if we have the information, let's use it before it is forgotten.
I also believe that family links make this site easier to use. The easier it is to use, the more it will be used and the better it will get.

The grave you have of Clytie B (Belle) Lorimer is my great grandmother and I was wondering if you are not related if I could have her memorial?

I couldn't find a private way to message you so I am sorry for doing the public.

I foiled the stone this morning and this is what I thought it said.
Sleep on Sweet Baby and take thy rest. God calls away when he thinks best.
Just some information for you to have. We have also cut away the lilac bushes now in order to see the stone.
Saturday, I went to Oakland Cemetery to fulfill a request for a picture of a grave stone of a Susan A. McWilkins and didn't find one. I did find one for a Susan A. Wilkins, maiden name Carter. She was married to M. H. Wilkins, July 18, 1876. Apparently, whoever, purchased the stone for M. H. & Susan A., dropped the Mc. There is a picture on hers or his memorial page. I checked a copy of the cemetery book in the Glasco Library and a Susan A. McWilkins, is not listed. Seems like sometimes they dropped the Mc, or added it to fit the situation. If I can be of additional assistance, please let me know. Ken Robinson

Is it possible that there is a Mary S Loveland buried in that cemetery? I see that you say that LJ Loveland's stone is missing. She would have been his second wife, and a distant relative of mine.
I see your name is Shaum! My wife's maiden name is Shaum. Her father was born in Elkhart, Indiana.

Regarding you memorial on Andrew #95902603 & his wife Sarah #95902671, do you have any information to back up this memorial. I am most interested in birth place.

Hi! Thank you for your picture and posting. Just wondering about the DOB and DOD for Elizabeth. If the DOD is correct and the age at her death I think her DOB may have been in 1839 rather than 1869. Can you check this and correct the information, please? Thank you again.

I am looking for information regarding a Maxine LaBounty whom you have listed a memorial for. I have conflicting information as to when she was born and died. I have 1926-1926, march 1928-Nov 1928, and yours 1926-Jan 9 1929. can I ask where did you get your information? I am trying to straighten this all our if I can. Thanks for your help
