I have been interested in genealogy since around 1998. I enjoy finding new information on family members. There seems to be be always another branch to research. I enjoy walking in the peaceful cemeteries as we seek for a long lost relative. If I have put a memorial on this website, I probably have photographed that cemetery. It is hard trying to find enough time in the day to put them all on here. So please request them and I will work on those names first. Currently I am working on Hamlin and Deuel Counties in South Dakota, but also have done a few in Brookings, Codington and Kingsbury Counties.
If I have any errors please let me know and I will correct it. For corrections, family links and transfers please use the edit button, because then it sends me a link to the page. I am willing to transfer family members upon request, if that such person is not related to any of my family.
The family names that I am researching are:
Brooks, Whitlock, Walker, Paulson, Lien, Baxter, Schaefer, Roeder, Papcke, Polzin, Nystrom, Norgaard, Simonson, Richards, Long, Burrows, Walsh and Delamater / Delemarter, Kreger, Lenning, Buchholz.
A thank you for those family members who have helped me take photos of memorials. My Sister-in-law Marceen who did all of Lakewood Cemetery in Waubay, Bergen Cemetery in Codington County, and Mazeppa Cemetery in Grant County. She also helped with Lakeview in Clear Lake. A Huge Thank you to my Sister, Lynne Shada who has helped with many of the cemeteries, You traveled with me to many states, walked cemeteries with me, photographed stones, researched at many locations with me, also you were my typist. You typed so many family stories, obituaries and such. Lynne, you are in our thoughts and hearts, we miss you greatly. Please stop and leave her a flower if you get the time.
I try to leave memorial flowers on all my family members and others for the date of birth and death. It seems to leave a personal touch to each individual. If you visit any of my relatives please leave a flower for them.

|David Henderson||Many, many thanks!|
Thank you so much for taking and posting pictures of the Carton tombstones in Grandview Cemetery! These are ancestors of my pastor's wife. I've been working on her ancestry and her husband's ancestry for a little while now.
|Bob Wikan||JOHN OR LUENA JOHNSON|
Highland Cemetary, how are you connected to either John or Luena, she was my great aunt and I am trying to determine if they had any children or who Johns parents and other family were, I have a deceased half brother and am wondering if his Johnson side is related to John in the inquiry.
|J. Haraden Morley||Thanks|
Thank you very much for taking the photos of the headstone of Otilie Stoltz (mother of a favorite great great-aunt of mine)and of the Stoltz family headstone. I so appreciate the work of the Find-A-Grave volunteer photographers, I'm on the brink of becoming one myself.

|Rhonda C. Poynter & Friends||Hi and Hugs =)|
I just want to take a whole ten seconds and send along a big Thank You for all of your visits to my pages, Friend - I am so, so far behind on this site I figure I have to live forever just to get all my acknowledgement messages out!!! I've also been entrusted with many more pages, and boy, trying to stay caught up on here reminds me of when I last lived on a farm - Gannon was a toddler then, his dad was on the road and I was just running - and we would be out feeding the ducks and so forth...I'd chase Gannon around, chase the ducks around, chase the chickens around - and in one instance, a sheep with an attitude that wandered onto our land and just wasn't about to go anywhere. ha! And yep, that's what this site reminds me of, isn't that a ridiculous comparison? =) I hope that you don't mind we sponsored your parents; I should have done it a long time ago...it's an honor. Take Care, and stay in touch - Hugs, Me and Gannon Blue
Thank you so much for visiting Ralph Ginn who died trying to win the friendship of those who had no souls and carried no compassion in their hearts. It has warmed and touched my heart to see that you and others have taken a moment to visit Ralph and show him kindness and friendship. He will remember you in heaven. God bless.
