Nancy Jane Dennis
Yes, I agree with you that Patrick Connor was twice married and I never said he was not. It should be obvious by the 1845 martiage to Nancy Jane that he already had chuldren.

So why did the person owning the memorial refuse to link him with his sevod wife Nancy Jane? I do notice from messages left for her she seems to be a confrontational person.

BTW I grew up in the coal fields of Perry County, went to school with the Doughterys, and am related to the Connors through the McCloys. I've also researched Perry, Morgan, Hocking, Ateens, Fairfield, Jackson, Gallia counties for more than 20 years and I a
most always, as in this case, back up my linking with documentation.

Thomas Lookabill Photo
Thanks for posting the photo of Thomas C Lookabill--photos are one of the things I value most! My third great grandfather, Jacob Lookabill's son, Christopher Columbus, married Mary Anne Kayton, who I assume is one of your ancestors? I descend from Jacob's son (& Christopher's brother), Samuel C, to his son, Samuel Shelton, to my grandmother Pearl.

I'm originally from Colorado (although my Lookabill descendents went from Iowa to Randolph, Nebraska to Wood, South Dakota). I currently live outside Richmond, Virginia.

I would certainly be interested in any pictures of the Lookabills you would like to share. My email is

Thomas Lookabill

My apologies--I just saw your post today asking for one of the photos to be removed from Thomas Lookabill's memorial #25147430. I removed my photo so you can post the one you have of him from 1882. I would like to ask permission now, to copy this photo to my family tree on

Thank you for your consideration of my request.

RE: Joseph B Skolasky photo
Hello -
He was my cousin 1x removed (first son of my great uncle, Toney Skolsky). I don't know why he died but am working on solving the mystery. Due to the year, I am wondering if he possibly died in WWI. I appreciate your offer to keep his grave cleaned up - so many are left to ruin.
I will let you know if I find out anything further about him. Just fyi, his middle initial is R for Robert.
Again, thank you!
