Each time we embrace a memory....
We meet again with those we love*
The Story Tellers
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.
(author unknown ) I love running to cemeteries close by and searching for those I've never been to. I've had many adventures from getting chased by large dive-bombing mosquitoes out in the middle of nowhere to discovering many old buried graves and working carefully to bring them back to their rightful place.
I have a special place in my heart for the military. So I post as many as I can. These brave man and women deserve a memorial on this site so not to be forgotten.
If you want the full large image for printing, I'll send it via email upon request. I'll be happy to transfer any memorial which is not related to me.

Dianne - To my knowledge, those Orr are not related at least closely - i think they came over earlier than my Orr line which didn't come over until 1820.
Thanks for the thought!

Thank you for taking and posting the picture of his grave marker. Could you also add it to his wife # 124311250 ? There is a photo request for her.

He was my great-grandfather. Again, I am so grateful to you.
Thank you for the Pearce photos. Maggie Pearce was my great-grandmother and I am so happy to now have at least this connection to her. I have heard many stories about my other great-grandparents, but nothing about the Pearces. Now I do have something.
