Thank you in advance for visiting my sister, Sandy|
and my mother, Elsie.
I am so grateful to everyone that leaves flowers for them.
One of my hobbies is Wheres George.com
When time permits, please leave flowers for the following:
January Julie Ann Wright
January 26 John Brearley
January 28 Henry Banks
January 28 Thomas Hollis
January 29 Robert Banks
January 30 Auston Oliphant
January 31 William Boyce
January 31 Ruby Foster
This is a poem that I stumbled upon (author unknown):
Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.
God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you
...no one will ever know.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. I've lived in FL, NY, CA, WA, and OR.
I found Find A Grave by accident. It has become one of my favorite sites to visit. It has given me a place that I can remember my mother and my sister Sandy and honor their memory right from my desk. Thank you Find A Grave.

Strangers in the Box
By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white,
Faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people,
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where, when,
These faces of my heritage
Would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of the pictures we take today?
The faces and the memories
Someday to be tossed away?
Make time to save your pictures,
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.
"If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't want to know.
But, here's another question, which
Requires another view,
If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?"

How wonderful of you to highlight my sister in law Julie Wright and my cousin Thomas Bengree, on your page. Thomas has never had so many visitors in one day!! And l see you've also highlighted little Henry Barrs, it's so good of you. He isn't a relative of mine but l'm sure he will be very happy to see that he is not forgotten. l like to research every headstone photo l take, in the hope that the information is of some help to anyone that might be looking for that person, plus l love doing it, especially the children. l find it abit sad when l see so many memorials that have no information at all. l'm sure we would all like to be remembered in some small way.
God bless you Neil.
