| Bio and Links | I have been working on my family's genealogy for about 7 years. The more information I find, the more I want to find.
I grew up on a farm around Chandler, Lincoln Co., Oklahoma. My mother's folks were from Cogar, Ok. and my father's folks were from the Piedmont, Ok. area. My grandparents families on both sides were from Georgia and North Carolina.
I only learned of FAG two weeks ago. I want to add my information to help other people find their family members.
I really enjoy NASCAR. The drivers that I like in this era is Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, #12, Matt Kenseth, etc. I've been enjoying NASCAR since about 1967. | |

 | DeMoss family Joyce, Are we related? My grandmother, Rose Ella White, was born in Lincoln County (in or near Stroud) and married James Steven DeMoss, son of Lewis L DeMoss. I would love to hear from you. Sharon | | | wayne
 | RE: McCorkle Cem. Thanks for the good response, Joyce. Would you or your husband be able to identify the "Mr. Hopkins" who is buried in McCorkle Cemetery, Lincoln Co. That's about 4-5 miles NW of town. (See Find A Grave page for details.)
There's no other data and no photo, just the name "Mr. Hopkins." The only clue is that the known burials are between 1897 and 1924.
The only reason, I think, that this entry exists is that Mrs. Joe Gibson remembered the burial. (See http://www.okcemeteries.net/lincoln/mccorkle/mccorkle.html)
Many thanks!
Wayne

 | McCorkle Cem. Hi again, Joyce
I see you have left some flowers for the little Rice children at McCorkle Cemetery. I'm entering some data for them and would be glad to learn more. My dad's first cousin Ray Stidham is closely related to the Rice family, and he visited the cemetery about ten years ago, identifying the twins. Do you know any more about this family?
Rays son Eugene and I visited the cemetery this past week. It's in a terrible state of neglect. We're going to try to get the City of Chandler to go in and clean it up.
I hope we will also be able to get cooperation from the Find A Grave site manager, "Okie Kid," whoever that is. Looks like she has simply pasted in the DAR assessment from the 1960s.
Best regards,
Wayne

 | Fair Memorials Hello Joyce!
I noticed that you have left flowers on many of my family member's memorials and wondered how you might be related.
Looking forward to hearing from you, potential relative.

 | Zelma B Ackers Thank you for the heads up on the wrong photo! Also have changed the cemetery location to Calliham, McMullen CO. Texas where they are actually buried. James had several lots in the Three Rivers Cemetery. Sometime graves are unmarked! Was going by cemetery index when added to findagrave. Thanks again.

 | Merl Smith Hi Joyce
I'm from Chandler too. I have lots of folks buried in the Chandler Oak Park Cem. and around Pleasant Ridge. I'd like to know who Merl Smith's folks were. Do you know?
Thanks--
