I am a retired newspaper reporter/editor in southern New Jersey. I have written a book and am currently working on my second. In my spare time I am a hospice volunteer.
Even though I had been a contributor to Find A Grave for more than a year, I never truly realized how much this site means to family left behind until my darling stepdaughter and sweet grandchildren were murdered on May 26, 2006. Since posting their sites, the family has received so many wonderful wishes - many from strangers. Even though they didn't know how wonderful Wendy and the kids were, they took time out to leave sweet sentiments. We are forever grateful. If you can, please take time to visit them and leave them a message. Wendy McCarter

I have been thinking about your grandson Scotty a lot lately. He was exactly one month older than my son, and their milestones are probably very similar too. I think if they had gone to the same schools, they would have been friends. My son recently graduated high school, just like Scotty would have.
