Bio and Links
Bio Photo The image of the peacock was a logo for a talent agency business in 1969 located in St Simons Island, Georgia. The owner, "Country Bill", aka Robert Lee Davis, born Charles G Raymond, also had residences and/or connections in AL, FL, VA and MA. If you have any info on "Country Bill" or if you have seen this logo anywhere, please send me a message with any information you have by clicking below on "leave message." OR send a post to his Facebook page: click here.
Thanks for your help in telling the story of Country Bill's life/death.

My motivation is to provide historical records to others. "Pay it forward." If what I've posted helps you in your genealogy or provides you some comfort because you can visit a grave from near or far, then my mission is accomplished and I urge you to help others in some way.

I don't mind if you use my pics for your personal use or even on your genealogy website but say where it came from!! If you save a photo to your computer from findagrave.com, reference findagrave.com and the memorial number, let others know about this website! Without the reference, I consider the image stolen.

If you have any add'l info or corrections on any of the memorials I have posted please use the "EDIT" tab on the memorial to send me a "correction or suggestion."

I am most willing - and passionate - to make the memorials as detailed as possible. I use online and/or hard copy vital records and census records, along with family genealogies and other biographies, data, and newspaper articles to make the memorials I post as complete as possible - I have several projects going at the same time so it may take awhile for me to add details. Research takes time so if you come across one of my memorials that lacks details and you have some, please help me out and send the details along to me via the EDIT tab. If you would provide me your resource(s) I will include in the bio - the source(s) will help generations to come...

Upon my death I authorize any of my memorials to be transferred to any FAG contributor as they are requested.
[thanks to FAG Cathy Clark for this statement on her contributor page as this is my desire and agreement wholeheartedly - perfect and appropriate]

Creation of Memorial Page PRIOR to Death
Dear Anonymous,

I wonder if you can give me some thoughts on something. I have recently come across a contributor who apparently has often created memorials for individuals that are still living, then "waits" for the death? A memorial with a creation date of 2007, listed for someone who passed away in 2011! Is this a common practice? Does Find A Grave approve and/or encourage this method of creating memorials? Wow, that seems sort of sneaky-like.

Margaret's photo is posted to #172068211 now. I must've gotten interrupted and missed uploading the photo when I did George & Betsey.

RE: Helen Louise Hutchins Murphy 96556848
Helen listed her husband as Dennis P Murphy. Thank you for doing the census research and posting the obits. I'll print the page and put it in her file.
I have a virtual cemetery for Betty Allen Chapter members and another for other DAR members I find along the way that we linked to our webpage on the Mass DAR member site. Any Massachusetts member can access them. We've had about 630 members since 1897; I've got about 100 names to go for this preliminary run through the list.
Thank goodness for all the Find A Grave volunteers that enter memorials and photos. These ladies would be lost to history and they were fascinating women.
