Thank you so much! This is very helpful information. I have found it difficult to find correct spouses or sources of information for spouses, especially wives - having information like family links significantly improves the odds.
Unfortunately, Samuel was one my great-grandmother didn't write much about. Here is what she wrote on his "page." (Please keep in mind that her "genealogy was written ca. 1936.)
"Samuel Marrs married Marilla Castor. Their children
A little girl, Gertrude, died when an infant.
Charles finished College and Seminary, married his girl and went to the State of Washington to begin his work as minister.
Janet is in college at Clarks[illegible].
The twins are in the grades."
His parents celebrated 71 years of marriage and hosted in their own home his sister Josie's 50th wedding anniversary that same year (1931). Josie lived to be 107 and I was privileged to know her. (My great-grandmother, Frances, died just 6 months before I was born, so I never knew her.)
From newspaper articles I have found about Samuel, he was a very well known and respected minister and leader in the Presbyterian church.
Again, thanks so much for the info!

I saw that you posted flowers on his memorial (thank you). He is my 2x great-grandfather. In the note you attached, you said he is the father-in-law of your 2nd cousin, 2x removed. Could you tell me which of his children married your cousin? I would like as much information about the family as I can get. So anything you are willing to share would be greatly appreciated. - Their daughter, Orlena Frances Marrs Clark, is my great-grandmother. I grew up in Siloam Springs, AR, but live in Iowa now, so research and connecting with family is difficult. My grandmother, Nylla Clark Ruble, and my father and his brothers are all gone now.
I have a "genealogy" that my great grandmother wrote in 1936. I would be happy to share any of it you would be interested in. It has a few lines and information about some, but not all, of the family.
I'm just getting started in my genealogy research, so I don't have much else to share yet - just a few newspaper articles and documents I have found on the internet.
Thank you! And thanks again for posting the flowers!

|Grave Maven||Hezekiah & Sarah Jackson Watson|
I see that you posted an obit for Hezekiah Watson #62429638
I'm not sure if you have a connection to the family. I was surprised to read in the obit that they had three children - all gone by the time of his death. I have been researching a woman who seems to be their daughter. The only time she is seen with them is the 1880 census, and I thought that she was young, but - her two MT marriage records have them as her parents. The 1900 census shows Hezekiah & Sarah had 4 children - all alive at that point. If you're interested, I'd be glad to share the information on Lillian Watson Maxwell Lamport Macintosh that I have located. I have not edited any memorials on Find a Grave - yet. I am not related to any of them, I research Carbon County, Montana.
|Michael Howard||Thomas Arundel Howard father of Alexander Howard|
I have a question. THOMAS ARUNDEL HOWARD was born 140 years before Alexandr Howard Sr. in 1700. Is this right or am I missing something

Thanks Charles for you response. Do you have any additional information on him? Off the subject, is your bio photo your high school picture (late 60's or early 70's) from Tulsa? The style and background looks the same as mine from Memorial H S!
