I'm a feral cat rescuer, an animal lover and a keen reader from Louisiana. I have a deep patriotic love for America and a fond addiction to coffee and dark chocolate. My nickname is Suse; sniksnak is a name coined for my cats' treats (snicksnack was too long for my first internet provider's character fields, so I removed the silent Cs; hence, sniksnak).
My beloved late husband and soul mate (Craig Paul Bachman) and I are owned by numerous cats and dogs who entered our lives, either by our rescue or our personal adoption through the non-profit cat sanctuary we owned, Pawprints and Purrs, Inc.
Since his loss, I dissolved our organization but still have at our home twenty-three cats and four dogs who are not adoptable due to various ailments (diabetes, IBD, hyperthyroidism, etc.), or as in the case of the majority of the cats, are unsociable due to being trapped as adult ferals.
Craig long marveled at my love for cemeteries - the older, the better. A taphophile I am - taphophilia is a passion for and enjoyment of cemeteries - I love walking through them delighting in the solitude and peacefulness as I read markers and headstones.
My heart holds a very special spot for veterans, members of law enforcement, children, and animals. Support our troops, back the badge, and report child and animal neglect and abuse.
I believe every memorial should have a virtual flower. When I see one without, I add one. That person was once loved and cherished by someone, somewhere.
I visit every person who visits my memorials as I have time. I deeply appreciate each and every visit.

 | Dear Suse, Thank you so much for listing my Dad's Angel Day on your bio page. It was so hard those many years ago when he died just a few days before Fathers Day and so poignant when it fell right on Fathers Day this year.
(((Hugs)))

 | Gus Oleson Thank you for remembering my great-grandfather Gus on his birthday. He was a good man who donated a section of his land to build "Gus A Oleson Elementary" school in Houston. I appreciate your thoughtfulness, it means a lot. *Hugs* ~ Sue W.Added by Tx☆Oma on Jun 14, 2013 10:39 PM | | | rosie mcnaughton
 | RE: Hi, I'm sorry about the situation with the test you need. I will be 70 in two weeks. I'm sure we all know that Obamacare is not going to be good for any of us. We've paid high insurance premiums for decades and rarely got any benefit from it. It doesn't cover ordinary vision, chiropractic care, which I've had for about 45 yrs. or dental care.
On the other hand, we were in pretty good health until last fall when we both had emergency surgery within two weeks of each other. Thank the good Lord, the insurance (Medicare & Blue Cross) paid the thousands of dollars involved. In a few weeks, I'll be having cataract removal surgery. Might as well get the benefits while I can.
Take care, Suse. I'll be thinking of you and I do hope things get better for you.

 | Brett & Ryan Newman Thank you for visiting my nephews for their Angel Day. Losing a child is a tragedy, but losing two at once is unthinkable. My family appreciates your thoughtfulness on this sad anniversary. I also very much appreciate your many visits to my other family memorials, and appreciate your generous gestures. | | | | [View all messages...] |
