I was born in Vaiden, MS, on Dec. 31, 1954 to Alf Trotter Collins and Juanita Hambrick Collins.|
I lived in Vaiden, MS until 1979, Winona, MS until 1981, when I moved to Jackson, MS. In 1990, I moved to Florence, MS, where I still reside.
I have two wonderful sons, Sean and Cody, and I worked as a Level 2 Computer Field Technician for AmSouth Bank, In-House Technician for Trustmark Bank and Field Technician for CompuCom servicing 10 Lowe's stores in Mississippi.
I have an A.A. Degree in Pre-Law; a B.S. Degree in History with a Minor in English; and a Master of Social Sciences with an emphasis in History.
I have written and maintain 240+ web pages, including listings of the burials in the Vaiden Mississippi Cemetery (White) and the Vaiden Community Cemetery (African-American).
So far, my family history has been traced back to my 14th Generation Grandfather, John Collins I, who was the keeper of the Gael (prison) for King Charles I of England (son of James I - of the King James Bible fame). Other relatives include another King (Elvis).
Other hobbies include motorcycles, making music as a drummer, historical research, adding entries to Find-a-Grave (since 08/12/2000), and watching and collecting DVDs.

I'd appreciate anything you have because I have a lot of contradictory information and am trying to sort it out. My e-mail address is on my contributor's profile. Thanks in advance!

Ron, I am working on trying to unravel the family. I recently started with an obit for Austin's daughter Mary Ella and have been working with another researcher on trying to sort out who is who. Family records from another cousin call into question what has been reported in the past. Austin and Hoyt were two of maybe eight children born to Joseph Tally McBrayer and Mary Rebecca Gilbert. Perhaps we can share some data directly.

Yes, your addition was correct. Thank you for connecting those for me. I'd like to add their deceased daughter Betty Zane Henry Bishop to the links of their children as well. Do I need to contact the sponsor of her page? Or can I do it myself?
|CHP_ofMississippi||Abb Morgan Henry Jr.|
How can I link Abb Morgan Henry Jr.'s record as a child to Abb Morgan Henry Sr.'s page, which I now manage?
|Charlotte Smith Muir||RE: Goodloe Cemetery in Madison|
WOW! Interesting, I have left her a message for some sort of guidance, or perhaps she can gain access for me. I asked if she was interested in accompanying me... might just need her. If you are interested, just let me know. Thanks again for the information! Fingers crossed!

You can go look at my wikitree information on them. I haven't got all my biographies written for them all nor are all of them sourced since most of my notes are hand written and now I am having to find them online and link to them....stuff like census information.
I think you will find Weaver's Grandmother Gilbert's family interesting also. She was a Barksdale and her lines are well documented. We tie to Ethelbert Barksdale with her. He was a leader during the civil war and I believe you will find his story interesting. I know I did and it made me proud of my southern heritage more than ever before. Just search for my name Gigi Ward and you can trace backwards from there to my fathr, Jesse, his mother, Lottie to James Russell to John W. Gilbert then finally to Mourning Barksdale and John Gilbert who married in 1912 in Marion County, MS. I just found out last week that John Gilbert came out of Hancock County, Georgia. Now, I need to see which Gilbert there was his father. Then we will be able to add onto his line. I have been searching for definite proof of his father for 20 years or more and with so many new records being transcribed and placed online I'm getting closer. You can also email me at email@example.com if you would like to correspond privately about their family. My Grandmother, Lottie who was a sister to Weaver lived to 106.5 years. Her story is also a good read although I haven't worked on her bio yet. Wikitree is collaborative so feel free to jump in and add anuting you know about the ones I have listed.

I believe it was Uncle Weaver who married Nannie Hambrick wasn't it? Don't have my notes in front of me but I am posting what information I have on wikitree so that it won't be lost. I haven't found much past Weaver's grandfather but am still searching.

Hi, I see you come into this line through Nannie Hambrick. I have added a photograph of James Russell and Martha Gilbert to your Find A Grave post for them. This picture was passed down from my Grandmother, their oldest daughter, Lottie Gilbert to us.
Thanks for your contribution to Find A Grave and I would be interested in any information you have that might relate to the John W Gilbert Family.

Hi, I just deleted ours, we both had the same information and I really don't care who listed it first, or in the correct cemetery, as long as he is listed in the correct one now.............Thanks..........Pam and Teresa
