New Hoy Family Member: I would Love for you to Visit my new memorial for John "Doc" Hoy and leave a floral tribute. I found his very sad story in an Omaha Newspaper from April 1899. I have no idea what Hoy family he actually belongs to, but have adopted him to mine, nevertheless.

Thank You,
Kathy

Bert & Estella Bunn
While searching the archives of the Auburn Newspaper for someone else, I happened across a news article about the 18 month old child of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bunn who drowned in a stock tank. I thus made a memorial page for the child, who is buried in Lafayette Cemetery near Brock. You will notice that I went ahead and linked Bert & Estella to him/her. The news article only states CHILD of the Bunns, and Cleo Jessie would be either male or female, although the spelling of the Jessie with an ie usually indicates female, but you never know.

I remember Bert Bunn from the days that I worked at our local hospital when I was a Jr and Sr in high school. I will contact the local funeral home and see if I can get Bert's obituary and determine whether Cleo Jessie was a boy or girl. Just thought you might like to know, as Bert and Estella are on your page.

RE: Hay Tombstones
Hi Kathy,

You are very welcome. The other Hay's that you had requested are not listed in the cemetery listings at the cemetery. There is a book that you can look up the names, when you get there. If you could get a section for me, I would be happy to search them out. I did look in the immediate area where the others were and didn't see them, but it is a huge cemetery.

RE: Nemaha Cemetery
Thank you! Sure wish that we could find Levi Rogers, my 4th great-grandfather. Someone suggested a cemetery located in the Aspinwall area as a possibility for Levi.

Finding the Sale/Sayle/Sayle/Sayles family has also been a bit challenging. Sarah is my 4th great-grandmother, and I believe that her husband James also died in Nemaha County, sometime after 1854. Do you know of a cemetery that would be associated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church?

Thanks again,
Malia

You are very welcome for the info. I'm trying to update as many as possible in the Old Mausoleum at Westminster, so glad it was helpful. If I can look up anyone else for you in the Cumberland County area, just email me, will be glad to see what I can find.

RE: The Bunn's & Keyt's in Sheridan
Wish I could join you, but alas, duty calls! Stop by the cleaners to chat a minute if you have time. I think we have met previously, but just can't recall for sure. 809 Central Avenue....block and a half east of the stoplight on the south side of the road.
