RE: Alice Eckert Clausing
I like the memorial pages for Barbara and John. I have removed the documents about Barbara from Alice's site. At the beginning of the year I had requested information on the Kinn/Eckert family from the Montour County Historical Society and I followed through on their suggestion that I get the records from the the Harrisburg diocese of Pennsylvania. Included with the information they sent were a couple of obituary notices for Barbara Kinn. I have not yet scanned the documents I received but when I do, I will post the obits on Barbara to the site you created for her.

I have found some Danville newspaper articles that reference the members of the Kinn family so I am hoping that as more paper archives get converted to digital, I could find additional information about the family. In a email I received the Montour County Genealogicial Society, it said that John Eckert and Barbara Kinn were married on 08/12/1845 and that it was published on 2 different occasions (08/15/1845, 10/17/1845) in the in the Danville Intelligencer newspaper. The same email also said that there was a Danville newspaper that pubished the death of a John Kinn who died on 07/11/1845 at 74 years of age. It make me wonder whether John Kinn was actually Barbara's father Jean/John but the dates don't really match if your information has his death in the 1850s.

I am not familiar with the "Reformed" cemetery but it also surprised me that he went to what sounds like a different cemetery. I initially found George/Christina and George's son William (and his wife Jane) in the Danville Episcopal cemetary and it was someone from the Montour genealogical society that made me aware that other parts of the Kinn family were Catholic. It has always been my understanding that my great grandfather Harry Kinn (George's grandson) had converted to Catholicism as he married an Irish Catholic and was buried in a Catholic cemetery in Illinois.
