I enter records here on Find A Grave for two reasons: First to help others find the graves of lost family members and second to remember our War Hero's who have "Given Their All" for our country! |
If you'd like me to fix any of the records that I maintain ... please click on the "Edit" button on the top right of the record, click on "Suggest a Correction" ... Enter your note and/or correction and I'll fix them as quickly as possible.
When requesting a transfer use the edit tab on the memorial and follow the below from F-A-G. Or the request will be ignored.
"Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. Bulk surname requests should not be made."
I'm currently working on updating and entered Soldiers and Sailors who "Gave Their All" during World War II. To see more on this project please click on my website below...
I originally started researching my Family Tree when my oldest son, Chris, came home from school one day and said that they had to write up their family tree as a project. This, of course, led me to many cemeteries and I quickly became interested in them also.
I've always enjoyed history and the two fell together.
Again, If I've created a record that someone needs deleted (since some families do not want their loved ones on the internet) or that you want me to update please let me know and I'll be glad to update it for you.

|Connie Lagasse Russell||Edgar Roy|
Hi Russ...I'm trying to find Edgar Roy's obituary for the memorial..once found do you want me to let you know also?
|TeddyD||RE: Teddy Dudziak|
Thanks again for the info, Russ. I visited your page and appreciate your efforts to compile the roster. Teddy was married while he was in training but divorced before he and the crew flew to England. The widower part is news to me as my dad never mentioned it. He did mention the divorce. Would you be willing to share the enlistment documentation? My regular email is email@example.com. You can also see some of the images that I have of him and "The Shark" by going to my Flickr account. I have images of him and the B24 crew as well as the B17 crew that he was the co-pilot of before being transferred to the B24 as a pilot. I have contributed these images to the b24.net and 100thbg.com websites.
A quick story that you may appreciate since you seem to be from the Buffalo area. One day my dad got a call from Teddy saying that he would be stopping in Buffalo on his way to England. Dad asked how he would know when he arrived. The response was "Oh you will know." Teddy buzzed the house on Sunset St prior to landing. Dad picked him up along with some of the crew and brought them home for dinner with the family.

|Dale Potter Clark||RE: HELP !!!! LOL|
Hi Russ - Sorry I cannot help you, other than telling you the two towns - perhaps both are plantations - are adjacent to each other. I was focused on finding Potters when at Drew Cemetery so do not have other burials from there. I live many hours drive from there so no help in that regard either. So sorry! Dale
He is a relative.....why?

Thanks! I found the photo this morning and just uploaded it. It would be great if you do find his name on the memorial. I've tried searching on-line and it's been inconclusive. My chances of getting there to check in person are about zero.
THANK YOU~was wondering what was up! The group that had it before was fast, efficient, and added info giving credit to who submitted it. I have issues with the way this site is traveling with these "new" owners.......wish it had NEVER been sold!!
