I'm a retired federal employee who fell into doing some online family research for a friend of mine - a McKenzie - and now I'm in so deep I can't get out! Most of you probably know the feeling. But it's a harmless obsession which I enjoy so I'll stick with it until I pull out the rest of my disappearing hair. I try to post most of my findings on Find A Grave so if you're interested in the McKenzie family who settled in central Missouri after emigrating from North Carolina via Kentucky, just enter the last name - mckenzie - in the box to the right and take a look! As for my own family, some surnames would be Fallas, Fallass, Bray, Oechsli, Mills - all of those in the northeastern quadrant of the lower 48 - and, on the Swedish side, Nilsson and Waldemarsson in the province of Skåne län.|

|Gerry Jean||RE: Mary Brown|
Tom, I'm very glad that's worked out the way it did. I've made myself a note to upload the photo(s) I take for Arthur to Mary's memorial page also. You may know that the H.C. online data base (sfgenealogy.com) exists/is maintained independent of Holy Cross by another entity/group of volunteers.
|Gerry Jean||Mary Brown|
Tom, there are 2 Mary Browns buried in section R2, the same section as her son, Arthur Brown. If you follow the steps I've outlined in my profile to access the Holy Cross data base, enter "Mary Brown" in the name and "R2" in the section; you'll see the 2 Marys I'm referring to. Or, you can send me your email and I'll send those entries to you. My email is in my profile.

Thank you for that catch. I've deleted the photo from the memorial. I believe I have already deleted the photo once I uploaded it. Sometimes the Find A Grave website runs like crap and when I am uploading photos and creating memorials, its at least 100 at a time, so it look like I got ahead of myself or the slow website when I uploaded the photo.

Tom, I would love a transfer. Thank you! I've no plans to modify the content.

Thanks for suggestion locations of birth and death for memorial 92410079. Please advise your source of information so I can verify and note memorial as to source. Thanks.
|Ellen Sherlock||RE: Wilhelm Klar in Walla Church Cemetery|
Wilhelm was married to a widow that had a son.
I can't recall the name off hand and am too busy/lazy to look it up. He was killed in an auto crash on the "Victor Corner"...which is the intersection with Old 81 and the county road that goes to the village of Victor. I'll try to remember to look this up to see if I can find the info again. We're in the middle of getting ready to move...after 40 years in the same house!!! We close on the new place next week. Haven't put this house up yet. Don't need the money for the new place so we can take our time getting moved.

Hello! You have a photo posted on Ebba Miller Motley's find a grave that shows Ebba on the left and says other two women unidentified. The one in the middle is Ellen Motley Norlin (Ebba's daughter) and the one on the right is Dolly Norlin Hadden (Ebba's granddaughter).
I know this picture, as Ebba was my Dad's mother and Ellen is his sister, and Dolly is my cousin. Thank you for posting this picture! Brought back lots of memories.

Thank you. The CDI on Family Search didn't give as many specifics as Ancestry, you have to look at the image and then find a chart that tells you what county or city the code is for. I don't have a subscription to Ancestry so I can't see all of their records.
I am going to leave the initial for Laura since Alberts draft registration isn't an official document for her and since there is a discrepancy among family trees. I put a note about it in her bio section.

Thank you for your edit requests.
Albert - Please share a death certificate or other official document with me to prove his exact date of death and location as I have been unable to verify your request through resources I have available to me.
Laura - Please share official documentation with me that states her middle name as I have been unable to verify it. I did find multiple family trees with a middle name, but most of them say Lona while others say Lena or Lonie
