Thank you so much for your lovely comment on Bill's page. The photo is my favorite. He dearly loved those granddaughters, he had no siblings and we had sons, so they were all special. :)

RE: Hope you are OK * Xmas Blessings *
Oh, blessings do come & I am feeling Okay. Always look forward to hearing from you. I can hardly believe you are wishing for "Snow" in Australia. We are expecting "flurries" & I hope it doesn't turn into a storm like everyone else is getting. Although I do wish you a "White Christmas".

I watched Jimmy Stewart 'adore him' in that movie over last week-end & will watch it again & again. It truly never seems to age...

David, my sentiments for your 2015 New Year are on my Bio Page today & every word is meant for you & yours.

Re: Ted Mulry
Hi David,
Thanks for your message, I have a bit of information for you regarding Ted that you may or may not know. He has a wonderful memorial located in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden Valley Way, Leppington NSW 2179, this was unveiled on the 10th anniversary of his death, yes he certainly was a legend........

RE: thank you
No thanks necessary, but I do love to hear from you at anytime. Find A Grave was down most all day yesterday, in my area at least, but I managed to visit special days, family and did get a few extra flowers put down later in the day, although the site was slooooow and tedious. I always love to see UR flowers of remembrance on my family & it warms my heart that you take the time to honor them. Oh, how those precious memories of long ago keep us going along life's journey & puts joy in our hearts. And I know you feel the same way.

Take care dear friend & have a great day & of course another Month, which is coming too soon for me. Bye for now. SMILES

RE: did you like the book
Hi David, sorry I did send you a message on 24 April after reading your book, you obviously didnt receive it. May be I didnt hit the send button.
My thoughts on it are as follows;copied from previous message.

Well what can I say about the life of Frances. I think it is a book everyone should read to get an insight of what some families go through. The Drs. were at that time ranked extremely high in society along with Priests and the like. I look at it from a parents point of view, how did they cope at all with the situation, no wonder Dick used to sleep through the classes. Although the treatment of Frances in to-days age, appears to have been barbaric, it was probably experimental 30 years ago, the most up to-date methods available for the mentally ill. I am not convinced I would have done anything much different at that time, you never know until your in that same boat. I have thought about the situation frequently and really wondered if I would cope as well as Frances's parents did.
I can say this because I have not been a close friend of the family, where I know you must have been very close to Frances and her plight. I most definitely feel for Frances and what she went through, Her thoughts and feelings and shock as to her treatment. I actually feel as if I know her to some degree. I wondered if you were the boy at the gate? I have passed the book on to several people
and I am waiting to hear their comments. Thank you David for lending us your treasured link to the past. I will return it.
I have now got your book in my possession again, there have been some mixed thoughts from people who knew Frances, most are disgusted at her treatment and blame the parents for not standing up for her, others have a similar thought as I do.
Maybe if Frances had been honest about her addiction things would have been better for her? I dont know? I have been in a similar boat to Pauline and Dick with my children, I worried for years over their mental health, one on drugs and the other just being a teenager although running with the wrong crowd. I had exhausted all avenues without going to the extreme measures that Frances had been through, and finally I had to let them live their own lives the best they could, I seemed to be making things worse. I decided the only thing I could do was be there and give them lots of support if they finally decided help themselves. In the end that is exactly what happened, and now both children are strong, intelligent people with good jobs and families of their own. (may I add teenagers dont change through the generations, their children are becoming teenagers and a rocky road is ahead).
Thank you once again David for the lend of your book, I will return it ASAP.
