The final resting places of my family on this earth hold a special place in my heart. There is no feeling to compare to finally finding an ancestor's grave after months or years of searching. When I am standing there I am humbled by the thought that this is where my family gathered together 25,55, or 155 years ago and still we go on. Some say that family is forever. Perhaps that is true. We are only here a short period of time. When I am alone among my departed family members there is a certain comfort I feel that some part of them is present at the moment and that life really never ends. | |

 | RE: DNA Carolina, I am not familiar with how the MTDNA (which I what I think a woman's DNA is called) compares to a direct line male descendant. We are ready to compare when you get your results. Benjamin Lee b. 1797 GA descendant. Thanks for your response. SuzanneAdded by suzanne on Feb 05, 2013 8:05 AM | | | Brenda Lasseter McCormick

 | The Taltons Thanks for transferring the Taltons - my cousins to me. Best regards | | | Ted Brooke
 | Ernest Lawrence Talton Hi Carolina - Bob Brown, a cousin of Ernest L. Talton has brought to my attention my duplication of the memorial of Ernest L. Talton in Melwood cemetery in Stone Mountain. I'll delete my duplicate entry on him; can you add (in his "bio notes") the detail from his military marker - that his full name there is Ernest Lawrence Talton and his military service is shown as "BM2, U.S. Navy, World War II"; his nickname is "Sandy" per cousin Bob Brown, June 2012. I know this info (except the nickname) is in the picture of the military marker, but it's pretty small. I'll delete my entry. Thanks, Ted Brooke, Cumming, GA. | | | suzanne

 | Sinda Rilla Mann Partin Hi! I left you a message on ancestry.com. You seem to be the only link for me finding out about my great great grandmother and family. I am the granddaughter of Judson David Partin, son of James Stephen and Sinda Rilla Partin. I noticed that my grandpa is not listed as one of their children, but he is in the picture with there family. He is the little boys in the front row of the family photo. I have information and pics of hime and his dad and some info on his brother that passed away. I would love to get in contact with you if thats ok. I would also like to find out if you know anything about Sinda Rilla Taylor being Cherokee indian? I was told that my great great grandma was full blooded but I have no pics or any other information on her. THanks and have a wonderful day! | | | Raymond Mann
 | Daniel James Mann father It has been quite a while since I've had contact with you. Shannon Mann says that DNA testing has proven our lineage to Daniel James Mann, but that William Mann Sr. does not match up as his biological father. I have heard for many years that William Mann, Sr. was his father (and his mother was William's first wife, 'Sary' or Sarah, possibly an indian woman)as you have reported. Do you have any solid evidence of that? I would like to know. Thanks Raymond Mann
