Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired woman who loves doing research. I found out about Findagrave.com because one of my genealogy friends sent me the information that my mother's grave was listed here. I am researching the names Harrell, Randolph, Chisum, George, Robinson, Horn, Bailey, Shirley, Howell, Pilant, and related lines. The last three hundred years or so they have all been in the south, except a few distant lines migrated to Ohio and Indiana.

I also love cats, and currently three of them own me!

If I have made any mistakes or omissions, please email me with the appropriate information so I can correct them. If you are more closely related than I am to any of the memorials I have created, I'll be happy to transfer them to you upon request.

# 20780970 George Washington Stout

You kindly left a flower (based on his death certificate?)
but you stated he was married to Thelma. Actually, Thelma was his daughter # 5407868

Would you be willing to replace your flower with one that
doesn't list Thelma as his wife?

Thank you!

Charley Bishop
Hello, I know the grave stone says Charley Bishop but his name is actually Charles Nobel Bishop. He is buried at Kirk Chapel Cemetery in Mo. My cousins paid for the stone I was in high school at the time. Maybe you can figure out a way to put Charley in so how. that is actually the name my cousins used for him. I know this because he is my grandfather. One of my great grandfathers actually built the chapel. Thank you, Susan Canty

RE: Claphams in Persimmon Cemetery
It was no trouble at all. I actually didn't realize there were photo requests for the cemetery, so I'm glad I was able to fill your requests. I had taken the pictures last year for my own family tree and forgot about uploading them til now. Milton and Amelia Clapham are my 3rd great grandparents.

You are very welcome. I have made it my mission to seek remembrance for all my fellow veterans who have come before.

RE: Robert Belshe, Spring Garden Cemetery
I show Robert Franklin Belshe as being the 4th child of Robert Belshe, Esq who is also my 4th great grandfather.
My 3rd great grandfather was Madison Harvey Belshe, who was Robert's Elizabeth Green's first child.
My 2nd great grandfather was John Belshe (married to Lucy Ann Bond), their 3rd child was my
great grandfather Samuel Meade Belshe
Samuel Meade Belshe's son was my
grandfather Childress Webster Belshe,
his 2nd daughter (Nellie) is my mother.

Childress 'married' a Mexican woman (Virgina Ramos Aros) with whom he sired 5 children (3 boys, 2 girls), 4 of whom lived to adulthood. My mother has outlived all of her siblings. She and all the offsprings born of the Belshe-Ramos union were by blood half Mexican and half Anglo. The boys (Wade & Nolen) married girls from their Mexican community of Chamal, Tamaulipas who were also half and half. So, most of my Belshe cousins from my mothers nuclear family are half Mexican, half Anglo. Some of those cousins married full-blood Mexicans so, their children are 3/4 Mexican.
In short, we have a passel mixed-blood Belshes emmanating from the Belshe clan which struck south in 1906 and headed from Oklahoma to Mexico.
They were part of group of folks from the U.S. who found and bought a large parcel of land (over 200,000 acres) in Mexico in 1903 and colonized it.
The official name was the Blalock Mexico Colony. If you're interested you can google that name and find pictures and stories posted by me and other Belshes.
My branch (from Samuel Meade Belshe on) disappeared from Belshe genealogy books until my mother made contact with a Donald (I think) Belshe in Dallas and helped him fill out a rather large and long lost branch of the Belshes.

In short, yeah, we probably are distant cousins.

Lee

p.s. a better way to contact me is to use
leeveal@bigplanet.com

My recorded e-mail address (lveal@prodigy.net.mx) was rather unceremoniously discontinued with no warning.
