Bio and Links
Bio Photo As a Find A Grave contributor, my goal is to provide well sourced facts and information on any memorial I manage. This requires a great deal of time and effort.

Sadly there has been a trend of late for viewers to "steal" photos and information from memorials and post them to other web sites as their own work. Therefore, I provide the following:

***********************************
PHOTOS:
All photos posted under my name on Find A Grave are protected by copyright. Any use without my express permission is prohibited.

If you are interested in using one of my photos, all you have to do is ask - it's that easy.

CONTENT:
I will no longer post information in a memorial's bio section and have removed most of my postings. This is due to the fact that too much of my work has been plagiarized and republished on various web sites with inadequate source citations or without any credit given.

Sorry, but a few bad apples really do spoil the bunch.

**********************************
In an effort to assist Tom Brocher in his quest to have photos of all the sites in Golden Gate National Cemetery, as of June 30, 2014, photos are posted to all the memorials for those interred in Section R.

Although most of the burials in Section R are from 1950 to 1953, I am humbled to have identified:
2 servicemen who died while in captivity when the 31st Infantry Regiment was surrendered as part of the Bataan Defense Force on April 9, 1942,
1 serviceman who died in the raid on Ploesti,
1 serviceman who died in the Battle of the Bulge,
2 servicemen killed in action defending Clark Field,
1 naval aviator killed in action at Guadalcanal,
3 serviceman killed in action in World War II,
183 servicemen who were killed in action in Korea,
1 serviceman who died while held as a POW in North Korea,
40 serviceman who either died of their wounds or as non-hostile deaths in Korea,
14 servicemen killed in action in Vietnam,
3 non-hostile death of servicemen in Vietnam, and
1 serviceman killed in action in Afghanistan.

All of these men who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country are included in my "Ultimate Sacrifice" virtual cemetery. A biography is included for each serviceman.

Bonnie Boggs
John Boggs Cemetery Madison Co KY
Hi, Kathleen,
I have made an edit request to have John Boggs 1759-1847 removed as the father of Joseph Oliver Boggs that you manage. John Boggs of the John Boggs Cemetery in Madison Co., KY is a different John Boggs than John McKinley Boggs, father of JOBoggs. Although they both lived at the same time and close to each other (Madison Co. where Boonesboro is located and Lexington, Fayette Co., KY about 30 miles away), and they were likely related and certainly knew each other, they are two different people. Boggs researcher (me included) have not determined the death date, location or burial location for John McKinley Boggs. Nor do we know where his wife, Martha Oliver Boggs is buried and when she died. We know she lived for at least 20 years after when we believe he died sometime around or after 1810 when he disappears from the written record in Lexington. Martha is a widow running a boarding house in later census.
I hope you will consider this request. Thanks!

OMG!!!
I just saw your "Portuguese Dairy Farmers of Peteluma" no-reply email that you sent on July 1 - and yes, I am that far behind in mail AGAIN!! We have to catch up on whats going on in our lives, if there is anything besides spending time with dead people. Keep up the good work and I'll talk to you soon! -Theresa

John Harold James
Hi Kathleen. I'm a staff writer for the Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach, Fla. We're writing a piece on the February 1956 military crash at what's not Palm Beach International Airport that killed five people, including John Harold James, whose marker at Golden Gate National Cemetery you photographed. We'd like permission to use this photo. Please advise and say how you would like to be credit. Also, do you have ANY leads to relatives, friends, associates, or anyone who would have a photograph of M.Sgt. James? We worked the databases for days without luck. It's just too common a name. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can provide. My direct phone is 561 820 4418. Thanks.

Spencer Beasley
Hi Kathleen, I see that you maintain the information for Spencer Beasley, # 16207183, born 5-30-1853, died 1-12-1938. You posted information that his parents were Jacob Beasley and Cinderella Bean. Are you related to them or have any connection? I am interested in more information on Cinderella. Thanks

Annette C. Eastman Harden
We have walked Pine Ridge Cemetery, as well as combed the cemetery records at Pine River City Hall, but can find no evidence of Annette Harden's final resting place.

As you know, we were able to find the Germain family plot you also requested in the Old Section of Pine Ridge Cemetery: Block 40, Lot 1. It contains four burial sites, but only Stella Germain's temporary funeral home marker was there. Is it possible Annette is buried there?

If you would like to continue your search, you could contact Kline Funeral Home in Pine River at 218-587-2067. We have been told that they are the keeper of all the old local burial records. If you can confirm a burial plot, we would be happy to photograph it for you.
