Thank you for Albert's obituary. I have added it to his memorial. If he is your family, I will gladly transfer his memorial to you.
I agree that the name is Wendell. I was pulling the info I gave you from the cemetery records that evidently had his name different than the other records I see. Your memorial only had initials then and I had no reason to doubt the record.
I have seen the pension record for 1890 where his widow Louise is listed as widow. The cemetery records have death and burial in 1889 and he was in a newspaper article around the day you list as death, but it was an article listing soldiers buried in the cemetery and not an obit.
With the records you have and the fact that your photo you just added is not covered with growth, I would have to say we must be talking about different people. (Perhaps a father/son? Does the obit say anything like that?) Mine was taken in the c-91 plot on 9-14-2015. I am not sure where you took yours, but I don't remember seeing it around this one. if I gave you the burial location, you may want to remove.
I will remove my photo and create a new memorial.
If you have any questions, please send me an email.
Sorry about the confusion. I was sure we had the same person, however when these stones only have initials it is sometimes easy to mix them up.

Debbie, Thanks for your response. I don't know who Steve is and did not contact him for anything about Hugh Swartz. Very Strange. I have the entire transcription of the cemetery that I copied from the book(s) at the Findlay-Hancock County Library. Could it have been Stephen Rice that sent you an email requesting more details? He was the contributor that requested a photo of the tombstone - and, per the transcription, there is no marker. Thanks again for getting back to me. I really appreciate it!
