Thank you Bryan for catching my duplication on entering Dorothy Furtney memorials. I made a correction changing her maiden name from Smith to Hillman.
It's hard to believe 26 years have gone by since we had the Furtney reunion at the Martha Gilbert farm in Buffalo, Minnesota.

Some one has confused the two Highland Cemeteries in Mahaska Co. Iowa. I only post photographs that I take, so I can guarantee you 100% that Mr. and Mrs. Fortney are in Highland Cemetery, New Sharon, Iowa.
This has been a problem of long-standing in our county. It also has 2 Friends cemeteries.
But rest assured and know for certain that the Fortneys are in New Sharon Highland.

Thanks for the link info to Leah's parents. It's interesting about Lacy Evers as she is not listed in the cemetery book, but in taking Milton and Leah's stone, I noticed her's so snapped a photo as well. Hi Bryan. I have just transferred Vita Mallett's memorial (from Yacolt Cemetery) to you. No, I'm not related to her but have taken photos of most of Yacolt's headstones. It's a very small cemetery in the north of our county (just 15 minutes from my home), so I have tried to add anyone who was not already listed as being buried in the cemetery. I hope it will help someone find their ancestors.
