Despite what some of you may think, I do not intentionally "plaster misinformation" all over the memorials. I have researched most of the memorials I have submitted, trying to make sure the information is correct, looking for obituaries, census records, birth and death records. Sometimes I get it wrong, but I don't think that's very often. If you don't want information posted, don't send it to me. I have taken up posting the contributor number of those sending changes through email. If you don't want your number listed, don't send the change.

- When I started contributing to Find A Grave the following was listed under FAQs:

What are your naming conventions?
Naming conventions:
Unless the legal name contains a hyphen, punctuation, including the () and /, should not be included in the memorial name. Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names should not be used, whether it be surname or the full name.

- I see that they have changed their FAQs to the following:

What are your naming conventions?
Naming conventions:
Unless the legal name contains a hyphen, punctuation, including the () and /, should not be included in the memorial name. Periods are to be used after initials, as in normal English. Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names should not be used, whether it be surname or the full name. Suffixes and Prefixes do not belong in any name field.

- I am adhering to what was the convention on Find A Grave when I first checked FAQs.  Rather than change over 18,000 memorials, I will stick with the original rule.

I have received nasty messages from some who disagree with my choice of staying with the original convention. If you supply a middle name, this will solve your problem.
