Bio and Links
Bio Photo After 32 years as a teacher, I retired from the classroom, but have not retired from the role of researcher. I am having great fun researching the history of my family as well as the history of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Please feel free to use any marker pictures that I have photographed. I would request that you credit the pictures to me and give the date so that anyone who is researching using your information knows the information. Sadly, we all know that markers become illegible and/or disappear.

RE: Jonathan Griffith
Gwen, We are glad you got some benefit from our photos. Also at the Griffith Cemetery there is a big barn and on the inside is the two story log house that the Griffiths lived in. Contact me if you would like photos of it.

Thank you for providing his obituary. I have added it to his bio. Are you related to this man?

RE: Gwen, I've transferred to your care ~

Believe me, I don't always pay attention to what Find A Grave has to say when it comes to making transfers, and besides . . .

[1] I've set up a HUGE number of memorials for people who are not related to me, sort of as a 'pay forward' kind of thing for all the help I've received from others over the many years of me doing family history, and

[2] I'd rather see as many of those memorials as I can in the hands of a relative BEFORE I'm gone, otherwise . . .

RE: Wren Woodward
Gwen: I have given one of my Moses Helm books to the Carroll County Historicdal Sociewty in McKenzie, not too far from you. I am pretty sure that either the library or historical society in Henry County have a copy since there were a lot of Dinwiddie's that lived there. There was a lady that lived in Jackson that was a part of my family and she lived on Chrtistmas Tree ST. She bought a copy of my book but I don't know if the librtary there or the Historical Socielty would have a copy, maybe she gave one to one of them. The state library here in Nashville also has a copy. IF you will send me your e-mail address I will send you a letter that I have on the computer that tells you how to get the infroamtion on the computer.

The Kentucky Building Library in Bowling Green has a copy also the library in Morgantown, Butler County KY. Or I can give you a web page where you can get all of the inforamtion. Just let me know if you need any of this

RE: Wren Woodward
Gwen: I have not worked on the Woodward family, I am only connected with them through mariage. Wren married Amanda Marie Clay and her parents were: John S. Clay and Mattie G. Moody they married Dec. 2, 1891 in Logan Co. KY. The parents of Mattie were Moses Moody and Genoa Cook Moody, they married Nov. 23, 1869 in Logan County. Moses Parents were William A. Moody and Martha Jane Helm (Martha is my direct family) they married March 6, 1848 in Butler County KY. dopn't know if this will help you or not.
