Arch Rowland
Archibald (I think Estell) Rowland, my great, great grandfather, disappeared after leaving his family in Mississippi. He was supposed to to Texas and find a home and send for the family. My grandmother thought he was killed for his money, but I think he deserted the family. A distant relative contacted my and said he had read a Boyd family bible that said Arch went to Texas and joined an outlaw gang.

Andrew Jackson Gardner
Ms. Reynolds, Could you please send me a photo of Jack Gardner's grave marker? I ordered it from the V.A. and some local residents installed it. He was my ggg-grandfather.

RE: Robert Allen McDonald
Penny, Sarah is my 3 great grandmother. I come in on the McDonald side through Queen Tinyebell McDonald (She married John R. Rabun)whoes father was Albert William McDonald. I'm like you now and not at all sure where the Oliphant came from. It bothers me that it just seems to suddenly appear. I'll keep looking as well. Please let me know what you find. I saw Wiley, which is the first time I have ever been able to find a father for Sarah. Talk to you LATER DB

RE: Robert Allen McDonald
Penny, Are you a McDonald. My grandmother was a Mcdonald. I've got a good bit of information on the McDonald clan. Like you I did get a line on Sarah's parents but the father was listed as an Olive. Let me take a look and see if I can figure out where Oliphant came from also. Keep in touch and let me know what you fine. Thanks. Look forward to hearing from you. Donna

Penny do subscribe to Ancestry.com. If so there are a number of family trees on there that give the name and the sources. If you don't let me know and I will provide them for you.

Robert Allen McDonald
There is a number of sources that list Robert's mother has Sarah Lucretia Olive Oliphant. I've always assumed that the family changed the name Oliphant to make it easier to pronounce. Of course there is the possiblity that her first husband was Oliphant. Nevertheless, Oliphant is a part of her name.

RE: Guilford H Olive
I am interested in the Olives but I am not responsible for the early posting of Olives. Appreciate the information. Jane
