Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been an amateur genealogist for many decades, and never tire of it. Puzzles challenge me. Guess it is the "thrill of the chase". I especially delight in helping beginners get started.

Surnames I am researching and their primary locations:

New England and midwest: Hunt, Baldwin, Bigelow, Collins, Rose, Adams, Burket(t), French, Plant

Virginia/North Carolina: Campbell, Collins

Ohio and Oklahoma - Klintworth, Scherer, Schuler, Schultheis

Kentucky, Tennessee and beyond: Adkins/Atkins, Bertram (aka Butram, Buttram, Butrum, Buttrum, etc.), DeRossett/DuRossett, Brown (from ancestor Michael Brown of TN & KY, circa 1800-1858), Adkins, Owen(s), Rigney, Stinson, Shelton.

Missouri and Kentucky - Collins, Nations

I would love to hear from anyone else researching these names.

RE: Russell Warren Scranton
You're welcome. I'm sorry it's not the best picture -- I uncovered it as much as I could, but the grass is growing over it.

By the way, Russell's brother Frederick is buried next to him, and I added a picture of his grave marker too. I also submitted an edit to add their parents to his memorial.

Since these memorials fall outside the site's required transfer guidelines, I will be retaining management of them. If you have edits for them, they can be submmitted through the appropriate choices on the Edit tab on each memorial.

Bertram Family Line
I just wanted to say thank you for keeping the Bertram line records so detailed! I'm researching my partner's family history for him and his grandmother is from the Bertram family. I appreciate it!

Brown Cemetery
Have you been to the Brown Cemetery located around the Static Tennessee area? I would love to find it due to a number of my ancestors are buried there but not sure where it is.
Thank You

Would love to talk with you. Please feel to contact me at the email address associated with my Find A Grave account. It is:

RE: Baugh Cemetery
Hi, Thanks, Yes, I did update the cemetery description. The "NS in 1997" applies just to Abraham and appears in the burial listings for the cemetery, not for the cemetery itself. Apparently the other four stones were observed and legible in 1997; it was only Abraham's that was destroyed by 1997. Given their deplorable circumstances it is quite likely that all have been destroyed by now.

RE: Baugh Cemetery
Anna, I don't know the exact location but the location description is written up in the Garrard Cemetery book. Since it was partially destroyed in 1997 it may be completely obliterated by now. Sad!

Baugh Cemetery
Hi Anna,
Just wanted to let you know I added the Baugh Cemetery to the database yesterday. You can move Abraham there now.
