Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've always liked walking through cemeteries. I was lucky enough to live in Rochester, NY so I could wander through the Mount Hope Cemetery (I currently live in San Antonio, TX). There's so much history in them. I've recently added my grandfathers who I lost 13 days apart in 1998. I thought of it as a wonderful way to keep a record for future generations.

RE: Hi Stranger!
Howdy, young lady! Still out here, still causing vast amounts of trouble, especially since retiring from the US of N five (five? Yes, FIVE) years ago. Saving my box-tops for a twin-engine Beech, so I can buzz the homes of my friends - and you're high up on the list! So good to hear from you, sweetie...

Hi,
Glad to transfer Edna to you but please send me the correct name and location of the cemetery or
send me the link to my memorial so I can make the transfer.
Thanks, Mike

RE: Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery
Hi Brenda!

Sorry about losing your Grandmother. All mine are gone, and how I wish I could see them again. Maybe someday...;)

I am also from Polish, Russian, Austrian lines.
Throw in some Italian and Sicilian too. The first time I went to Sts. Peter & Paul's Cem. I took those picures. Some of the stones were amazing. Stone masonry is quite a talent.

Brenda, it is entirely up to you if you want to ask about the translations/names etc. Of course I will update anything you find out from the Sisters. Google translate was what I used to try to translate. But the many years ago there were different dialects and expressions used that Google can't explain. My Dad only knows a few Polish words. His mother came over when she was a baby. Her maiden name was Jakubovicz and it has changed many times throughout the years. Yakubowski, Yakabowski, Yakabowicz, etc. etc. We tried for years to find out my great grandmothers maiden name and we think it was Sadowska and may be Stardusky or something like that. I'd love to get into the church records. But they are always too busy.
Anyway, sorry about the rambling. Like I said, anything you want to dig into ...dig! I'll fix, adjust, add onto the names listed.
Thanks for writing.

RE: James Maloney
No problem. It may take a week or so though as my computer crashed and I can't access all of my stuff right now

Henk Orie
Hello!

I was also a friend of Henk's on Find-a-Grave. I visited Amsterdam about a month before he died. He was not feeling well enough at the time for us to get together, but we did talk by phone.

So sad he is gone from us.

I was just looking at his Find-a-Grave entry and saw the picture you posted of King Hussein. I suspect the inscription reads "with" rather than "wish." In ham radio lingo, "73" means best wishes, so "with my best 73's" would mean "with my best wishes."
