 | Harold Littlefield Hi..Lots of confusion here in Sidney Maine. It looks to me like you put him in the Lincoln Cemetery in Sidney when he really belongs in the Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln. I tried to get a picture for you, but he wasn't there because...he wasn't buried there! Please transfer him to correct cemetery..if I am wrong about this let me know. Thanks KitAdded by Kit on May 13, 2013 8:14 AM | | | Tom G
 | George Nugent Any chance George was a volunteer firefighter for Stony Hill Fire Dept in Bethel CT? I have such a name on my list of deceased members in somewhat chronological order and this is around the same time..1958.Added by Tom G on May 10, 2013 8:51 PM | | | 2patriots

 | RE: George Porter Hi Tuesday, Thank you very much for the transfers. I have added obituaries and links. I will have other great aunts and uncles that I will be asking you to tranfer. I know we have some mutual relatives that we will have to work around. Again thank you for your help. Abe Sibley | | | Tim & Grace
 | John R. Fowler at Togus National Cemetery
Hello Tues,
I just added the gravestone photos for John R. Fowler at Togus National Cemetery.
You can easily request that the memorial be transferred to you by sending a [Suggest a Correction] and giving them your contributor ID number. It is almost automatic and is usually transferred the same day that you request it.
Admission records for Togus can be found on ancestry.com, as well as Civil War enlisment records.
Sincerely, Tim Cooper Sidney, Maine 04330

 | RE: Alfred Ziemba Thanks for the response. I only asked because I try to note the source of info in my own data. In this case I'll just list the Find A Grave memorial. Thanks for your efforts -- they make a difference! | | | Favourofortune
 | RE: Edwards I worked Ben Edwards on Philip Edwards history several years ago, found his site as he was the one who left the book on cd at Philip's grave. Are you from Naugatuck? My father's family owned several farms in the Millville section which they bought for their sons after selling all their property on Anderson Street in the Union City section. Philip Edwards lived close to my grandmother and grandfather and his best frien John Simmmons was also close to my fammily, in fact his daughter-in-la used to baby sit my sister and me. and had children our ages. | | | Favourofortune
 | RE: Philip Edwards Ben Edwards and I did an article in the Waterbury Republican-American together for Veteran's Day a few years ago. My family, the Edwards' Family and the Simmons Family all lived in the Millville Section of Naugatuck back in the life of Philip Edwards. My father still remembers a lot of the history of this area but Philip was lost to us well before he was born in 1930. | | | Favourofortune
 | Philip Edwards Found a picture in my grandmother's old photo album of a couple with their arms around each other, written on the photo: "Philip Edwards KIA July 21, 1918 France, and Ella Winiger." This sent me on a search of who this man was, after much reearch I found his grave, also there I found a book on cd, "One April in Boston" by Ben l. Edwards of Boston, MA. He has a whole website dedicated to Philip. http://benledwards.com/edwards/heroswords.html just copy and paste this link. | | | | [View all messages...] |
