Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family history for over 10 years. The majority of my ancestors were kind enough to spend most of their lives in Jasper and Marion counties in Iowa so my sleuthing has been relatively easy. There are always a few who don't fit the mold and I have enjoyed tracking their whereabouts, especially the Swiss ancestors - I will use any excuse for a vacation!

The main surnames are Middleton, Spalti, Routh, Agard, Winters, Mudgett, Awtry, Shroyer.

My husband's family is from French Canadian and German ancestry. They settled in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Those surnames are Schmitz, Fritschen, Millette and Guerard.

I would love to share information on any of the above surnames. Email me!

RE: Lavoie graves
Once upon a time, people did not have any extra money for markers. If you find other information, please put in a new request. Thanks, Cathy (kateb)

RE: Fritschens in St. Peter Cemetery

You are truly welcome. I had the best day Saturday. I visited 4 rural cemeteries in our area and took lots of photos. It was a pleasant day, the best we've had in 2-3 weeks. I had never been to the Farmer Cemetery, it's very small and walking the whole thing wasn't all that bad, but I did have to climb the fence to get in. I'm sorry I couldn't find Andrew and Mathilda. I was sure they should be there, next time I'm out that way I may try again.

You are welcome to do whatever you like with the information. They are your family and I'm just glad to be able to help get the pictures to you. Isn't technology great!!

Linn Cemetery
Please know that your efforts to locate the Gustav gravestone I requested in Linn Cemetery were appreciated. You searched the entire cemetery and that is way beyond what was expected. You also forwarded some lovely photos. Although no Gustav gravestone was located, I thank you very much! Please keep up your good deeds!
