Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family since 1968 and have had the good fortune to talk to many family members that have long ago passed on to a better place. I just wish I could again have the pleasure of talking to them. I still have many questions that they could answer.

Please if you see any errors email me, or post a message-----Also if I have someone in your family listed that you would like to list yourself just let me know and I will transfer ownership to you. Or if you don't want a family member listed I will delete the listing if I made it, at your request.

Gravestone George Cathey #14321570
In 1994 I visited Bethel Cemetery,Haywood Co, NC and took photos of many Cathey gravestones. The photo that I have marked as George Cathey / May 14, 1774 / June 17, 1826 is the one with the round top. I do not have a photo like the other one, and do not know if I saw it or not. Altho the round-topped stone was somewhat readable in person, the photo I have is less so.

James B. York
Cain "Elkane" York, my great grandfather, was James B. and Lucinda York's son. I am so excited to see relatives on here! I know very little about the Yorks, because my grandpa, Samuel A. York, died in WWII. Would be interested in any stories or pictures anyone has. Thanks so much!

RE: Looking for Matilda Johnson Bell at Bell's Campgound
If I could find something else to corroborate this, I will have a marker made for her some day.

RE: Looking for Matilda Johnson Bell at Bell's Campgound
That makes sense. James Smith Bell would have been her father-in-law. Why don't you post your photo on her page and add your reasoning in the caption. Maybe her marker broke and was removed over the years.

I don't think this is a recent photo because the grass looks brown. But I did speak several times with the owners of the cemetery and they were supposed to straighten James Smith Bell's marker. Do you know if it is straight yet?

From this photo, I take it that James' marker is the one on the far end to the left leaning forward.

Thanks so much.

Another mystery solved.

Looking for Matilda Johnson Bell at Bell's Campgound
Haven't corresponded in a while. Now that I have made the connection to her parents Elijah and Polly Johnson, and since her husband is buried there, it is likely that she is there too. Can you take a look sometime.
