Bio and Links
Bio Photo In 2004, I became an early retiree, retiring from an aerospace corporation in the southwest and now live in the midwest. I love spending quality time with my family, genealogy, flower gardening, and traveling.

I'm a wife and the mother of two children, a daughter and a son, and three grandchildren. I also have a really great sister and brother-in-law.

I have been researching my family history for over 30 years and also enjoy corresponding with other researchers and helping them with their research, if I can. It's a way for me to give back, for all the people who have helped me through the years.

With the advent of the world wide web, I have been able to meet a lot of cousins from every branch of the family. It's sure been interesting as well as a lot of fun.

Find A Grave has given all of us a way to establish a living memorial for our loved ones...it's a really great thing...linking families together forever.

Joyce

I see you have Lucy married to Jonathan but not connected as Williams mother. So maybe you did that on purpose.

Negro Children
The source "Parish Register of King William Parish, Manikin-Town" mentions four negro children "born to Gille/Giles Allaigre". I never see these children mentioned in any lists. Is there any particular reason they are left out? Sometimes the language used in older documents does not necessarily mean what the words mean today. If he is the actual father then they should also be listed with Afro-American sites because there is such limited resources for blacks to trace their ancestry. Thanks so much! Larry

Joyce, the Interment card says Archie is in Section: Cooper, Block 16, Lot 7, Grave 2. I've deleted the photo of the card and added the WWI Registration card.
I'll clean up the bio and email it to you later today or tomorrow.
Thanks, Susan

RE: Memorial # 138802414
I checked his death certificate and his date of death is listed as 23 Oct 1940. The death certificate lists his burial as the Masonic Cemetery in Marceline. I was under the impression that he is buried in the Stein family cemetery.

RE: Paris Lundy
Thanks so much for putting in a note! This situation is a first for me too. The note should help anyone else who might look him up from becoming completely confused as to why there are two Paris Lundys!
