Twenty-five years ago a friend told me she had a new hobby, genealogy, and how much fun she was having. I immediately contacted my mother who informed me that we owned three family Bibles. I have been deep into this ever since. I started with my mother's family in Loudoun County, VA. Her parents were third cousins, a fact she did not know. Of course I added my father's family, my husband's family, and both my daughter-in-law's and son-in-law's families. Then by adding wives, mothers, sisters, brothers, ancestors, descendants, I have ended up with a database of about 37,000. All are related to me or to someone I am related to.
Most of my time has been spent in Loudoun County, Virginia. I wrote two books on Union Cemetery in Leesburg, a book on Monocacy Cemetery in Bealsville, Montgomery County, MD, Death Records of Fairfax County, VA, and co-authored books on the Death Records of Loudoun County, VA and Marriages after 1850 in Loudoun County, Va. I have also been involved in the preparation of Cemetery Books published by Thomas Balch Library. All of these books are available through Heritage Books.

I am more than happy to share any information I have. My cemetery pictures are there for anyone who needs them. They have been taken over the last 19 years. I will ask that you let me know if you are using a family picture because that means you are probably at least a cousin and I want to know you.

If you see errors, please let me know. Let's get all these people linked! But PLEASE everyone, use the Edit button on the memorial that needs changing! It takes about 2 minutes to make changes using that button. It can take 1/2 an hour or more to find the memorial you would like changed, if you don't use that button, and often I cannot be sure if I am looking at the correct person even then. In that case I may spend an hour or more looking. That takes away from someone else's time. Be fair!

Thanks.

Dear Betty,

Thank you for the fine columbarium marker photo and your 'auto e/c' enhancing her middle name.

Always, in F-A-G brother/sisterhood,

# 50762060 Mort riddle
I offered the name correction without citing documents We know his son Charles Morton Riddle IV, and there ia a V living locally, too. Just to confuse matters, I visied my sister in Virginia Beach a few years ago and me the rector of her church, Charles Morton Riddle V. When I commented on the coincidence he said that they were collateral descendants of a common forebear. He has since retiredas required at his age by the canons of his diocese and keeps active by acting as interim rector at parishes in NC that are searching for someone to call full time. He has filled this role at least twice in the past 30 years at the parishof my oldest and closest friend. I will verify the "IV" to be ironclad certain, but I am sure of the Charles.

# 50894992 Louis T Titus
His eldest son, L Templar Titus Jr. died during the past couple of years and I am pretty sure that he, too, is in Union cemetery. His widow, Karen, and younger brother Terry, formerly ofthe LeesburgTown council, are still with us.

I am working on finding out where her husband is buried (somewhere in lexington) I already made some edits to her (her dob and maiden and middle name) I saw this weeks ago when I started searching but wasn't sure it was her until I finally got her death date yesterday

thanks

Hi Betty,
I changed the DOB to reflect the stone data. It looks to me like the son may be buried there as well. That would be my guess.
Thanks,
Becky

RE: Everett and Grace Baggett
I did notice. I'm not sure why it's spelled with an "o" because everyone else in the family used the "e". But I do appreciate having the photos. They are definitely the correct ones. I'll have to do a bit of "digging" and see if I can find out why there is a spelling difference....
