I try to watch over and tend to the physical graves of our local Viet Nam losses. I have a virtual cemetery for Viet Nam. If you know of service members who died there, let me know and I will include them.|
I gratefully receive transfers, but I am not a "collector" and rarely request them except for the closest of relatives. If you wish to transfer to me, you may, and I will care for them. If you choose to maintain memorials you have set up, that's fine, too.
I am now reconsidering transferring outside of guidelines as I have transferred a number of memorials that have not been maintained--updates are not done. I usually do corrections/additions within 24 hours, so if you have "tons" of additional information, please send it. Additions and corrections are celebrated! I truly appreciate those who use the new edit system to send them. Please use option #6, "Suggest any other. . ." for questions about a specific memorial so I can be sure of which one you are referencing. Thank you so much.

Sorry, no. I am not directly related. I do have a postcard Lucile wrote and sent to Phoebe Hively of Junction City in October, 1908. If you are interested in having the card let me know, I'll be happy to give it to you.

I recently purchased (on eBay) a post card sent by Lucile Yates from Lawrence, Kansas to Phoebe Hively of Junction City, Kansas. The card is postmarked October 17, 1908. I think you should have it. Please advise. Wm King

I enjoy reading old newspapers at the Library of Congress website. I stumbled upon an obituary for Robert H. Lindsay. He appears to have been a much admired man who gave himself to public service much of his adult life. I thought you might like to see the obituary. It does have some familial information.

In my husband's extended family there are 8 men named Charles Giles. We don't know any of them personally. I guess the closest one would be a 2nd cousin, Charles Harold Giles, Jr., b. 1947.

Hello Suzanne: Wondering if you are connected to the Kirkham family in any way. Looking at Memorial # 141923243 for Judd Burrell Kirkham, you have a lot of info on him, including the middle name of his mother Ora Burrell Kirkham. I am working on updating this family and the various Find A Grave memorials and Ora keeps presenting me with questions: where is her middle name to be found, where is she buried; when was she and Judd divorced? I have info re her death but cannot find her grave to do a memorial on her and finish my Burrell Find A Grave "project". Looking forward to hearing from you and if interested in having Burrell Find A Grave transferred to you, will do so once I am done. They are descendants of my MACK collaterals so not that close to me.

Thank you for the information. Glad to help later if I can. Depends on the weather of course, since summer is coming to an end.

Ok, that makes a little more sense.. it is perhaps an outdated format. There is no dedicated "Babyland" like some big cemeteries have, but instead there are some portions of Section 2, Blocks 1 and 2 that have baby graves from that time period, so maybe she is there. I'm curious what they will say when you guys call. Hopefully they have it.
Here's the map of the cemetery, for reference:

Saw your photo request... there is no such section 17 in Resurrection. Likewise the format of the plot you have given is not consistent with how Resurrection plots are organized. (They are typically organized Section, Block, Row, Grave, no "Range"). Are you sure you have the correct Resurrection Cemetery?

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to attach the photo of Martha Denniston Emery to her profile at Find A Grave. She is the wife of Cyrus Emery, whose mother was Eliza Riddle Emery, descendants of the same Riddle ancestors as I.
Your note on Martha's photo said that you found the photo among other family photos at an antique store, and I am wondering if you also have the other photos. If so, do any of them show her husband Cyrus or any of their children or anyone with the name RIDDLE?
Children of Cyrus and Martha Emery:
William Melvin Emery 1856-1913
Ransen Laporte Emery 1858-1889
Eliza Jane Emery-Smith 1863-1892
Tressie Armeda Emery-Becker-Holtz 1866-1930
Andrew Eli Emery 1869-1942
Effie Captola Emery-Marvin 1872-1962
