PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON ANYONE I OWN, PLEASE TELL ME! I don't care if it's a silly little story about what you remember of them! Anything to give that memorial a voice, I will add. WE are the voices for these people. Let's give them all a story. I try to find any info I can, but sometimes you fall short. So any and all are welcome.|
For the first 6 years my husband and I were members of Find a Grave we never put any effort into helping others. We only used this site as a tool in finding his family. I have been lucky that my family has kept records. He has no clue about where he came from. That is why Scott and I became members of this website. Now that we have learned about his history, we decided that it's time to pay back people that helped us. I know what we are doing won't change history, nor will we get a prize for the work we do. But at least we can shut our eyes at night knowing maybe, just maybe we made someone's day for the efforts we have done. This is not a charity to us, but a way to give to others. I had a little old man tell me years ago " Talk to a new person everyday and you will grow as a person". He was right.... I have never been a shy person, which is odd that I married someone that is. But he makes me grow... Don't be hateful; it only brings pain. Be grateful; it only brings joy. Words to live by... Please don't hesitate to send me info, corrections, or even complaints. We have been photographing headstones for less than a year (8/2013) and love every second. The history I have learned and the history my husband has helped me with has been mind blowing. I always hated history. To bad they didn't teach us this kind of history in school. Please everyone: THIS IS MY ACCOUNT AND MY HUSBANDS!!!! WE ARE LINKED; SCOTT & KRISTY!!!!! I hate people that assume I'm the requester just because that is the account name. I could change it to Bologna Sandwiches and you wouldn't think twice about the name. So quit thinking I'm the requester, just because it's my name! WE ARE THE ACCOUNT HOLDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you and sorry on a rant...

Thank you, Kristy, for uploading the gravestone photo for Jacob and his wife, Helen.
I would like to ask for your permission to use that photo (and any others you have taken of my ancestors) in my family tree on ancestry. Because the photographer hold a copyright for each photo, I always ask before using a photo on another web site. I will give your name as photographer and the web site as the source.
Many thanks for considering my request,
Jacki in Pittsburgh

|Marilyn Kenyon, Psy.D.||Kenyons from Isle of Man|
I first noticed these Kenyons, while I was researching my own family.
I spotted a group of them, on census records, from the Isle of Man. More recently, I've tried to trace the family to see if there are any living males descendants, who could be tested for his DNA.
Thurlow Kenyon was born in Chicago. His father was William Crellin Kenyon, born 1850. His grandfather, Edward Kenyon, born 1813, Isle of Man, was one of those I spotted on an 1860 census record, living with his brother John Kenyon. Both indicate they were born on the Isle of Man.
Thurlow's great grandfather, William Henry Kenyon, was born 1782, Isle of Man. He arrived in American in 1821. He was a clothier by trade.
So far, I've been unsuccessful in tracking down a living male descendant from this lineage here in the United States. The line seems to have died out, at least the Kenyon male descendants seemed to have died out.

I know a little about Thurlow Kenyon, only because I have tracked him from a line of Kenyons that came from the Isle of Man. I've been trying to locate a living male descendant from this line for sometime.
|Melody OC||RE: Anna Bromell?|
It looks like I created a "new" memorial because her headstone reads "ANNA" ... and, when I searched the Find A Grave app while at the cemetery, "ANNA" did not appear to have a memorial. I see now that her memorial is under "Elizabeth Rose "Anna" Gulick Bromell". So sorry for creating a duplicate.
I will add my photos to your memorial and delete the duplicate.

Thanks so much for filling our request even getting out in the snow.
|Rhonda Hansch||RE: Jesse Turnage|
I think your reasoning makes sense. Thank you for putting so much effort into this. I am very distantly related to his wife.
|Cheryl Hamilton||Paul Arnold|
Thank you for the picture and in looking at your name I realize that you and I might be related in two ways. I know one of the Arnold's married a Rice family member, however a Gryder also married a Rice family member. Food for thought as well as a thoughtful thank you.
|LaDon Brennan||William Harrison Dueker|
Thanks for the very nice photo, I appreciate your time and talent.
|Pam Barns||Elliotts in South Point Cemetery|
Just got Clara B. and Roy B. Elliott's transfers.
Now, I need to update them.
Thanks for your help.
Stay cool up there.
