Hometown of Hammond, Indiana, near Chicago. I now live in Boise, Idaho. I work for Cloverdale Funeral home in Boise, ID. Prior, I've been a paramedic since 1978, as an EMS provider, manager, educator, and in communications. I've been photographing cemeteries and grave sites for over 15 years. I have developed a presentation on the art and symbolism of gravestones and cemeteries which I give through the city's Community Education system and at genealogy/ family history conferences, and to various historical groups. I also give historical tours of cemeteries in Boise.|
PLEASE USE THE "EDIT" TOOL THROUGH FINDAGRAVE FOR ANY CORRECTIONS OR ADDITIONS. Requests to add obituaries to entries will have them edited to meet F.A.G. guidelines, mentioning no living relatives.
I'm always available to photograph graves in the Boise/Ada County, Idaho and surrounding areas. My ISP doesn't send me photo requests for some reason, but feel free to e-mail me directly if you have any requests. Before you send me corrections to entries, please make sure it's my entry and not just my photo on the entry.

Would you grant me permission to use your photograph of the Eagle Point National Cemetery? I will be using it in my genealogy program, in hopes of one day publishing. You will certainly receive full credit for the photograph.

Thank you so much for the kind words, it's greatly appreciated and means a lot to me. The Hillside Cemetery is what really got me going on Find A Grave.
I though it was so disgraceful the condition of the cemetery and the complete lack of respect vandals have for the people buried there.
When I found a transcription that was done in 1957, I thought how wonderful this person Vera took the time to record over 1200 headstones, if she hadn't done so we would never know the people buried there.
Thank you for the work you also do. It's people like you that make Find A Grave a wonderful site.
I also deleted some of my original photos of the Calligans (they were from 2006, taken on my phone's camera) so that you can add your pictures.
Take care my Find A Grave friend. God bless you and keep you safe.

Thomas E. Avent is listed in two different cemeteries. Could you check on this?

|Charlotte Lynch||jane hildreth grave|
I recently found a grave for Jane Hildreth death date 1948, Cuyahoga Co, Ohio. I am searching for a relative by this name who would have died at least a 100 years earlier in Cuyahoga or Lake Co. Ohio. I am just wondering if there is any possibility that the grave marker was hard to read and the date could possibly be different??? I know I am sounding desperate. Thanks for any help you can provide.

David - Would you like to take over my job (self appointed) of correcting the misinformation that has been written about this cemetery and its inhabitants. I think its a shame that so little has been written about this cemetery that is correct, including its name. The official name of this is/was Boise Barracks Military Cemetery. Many of the people buried here were among the first to live in this area. Some have very interesting stories. I was able to identify all of the people buried here and have a bundle of papers to prove it, including many lists from the National Archives. I will gladly give these papers to anyone with broad shoulders who will take up the fight. Wilda
|Wilda Dillion||James Collins|
You need to remove James from Boise Barracks Military Cemetery. There was no child by that name in this family. Wilda
|Wilda Dillion||RE: James Rothermel|
No I'm not kidding you. The complete article can be found in the Idaho Statesman, Tuesday, February 18,1868, page 2 column 2. Wilda
