I am been an avid Geneologist for 20 years. |
I research my families and my husbands families, almost daily.
I am a native Texan and also a native of Collin County Texas, where I have many family lines still in the area.
I am a member of the heritage groups, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and a Daughter of the Republic of Texas. I am also a Civil War Reenactor, and Living Historian.
I am researching:
Bales/Beals/Beales, Phillips, Fowler, Wheeler, Chumley/Chumbley, Cline, Chadwell, Posey, Prince, Neal, Lochridge/Lockridge, Ice, McCreary, Murphy, Fisher, Stover, Roberts, Scalf, Williams, Burris, Crabtree, and many allied families connected to these lines. Smelser, Parker, Shields, just to name a few. These are just some of the lines that mig to Collin, Texas before 1900.
I am also researching my husbands lines of:
Mounger/Munger, Massey, Willcoxson/Wilcoxson/Wilcoxon,Cutbirth,Horn, Morrow, Bailey.

I wanted to thank you for all of your time and effort in putting together the memorial for David Chadwell and his related families. I am double related to the Chadwell's through his daughters Mary/Polly (my paternal 5th great grandma) and Susannah (my maternal 5th great grandma). Thank you - Kim

I visited the 2 memorials. Yours is technically the original one. You have links and maybe some info that the other one doesn't have. They have fotos that you don't have. You need to see if the fotos can be transferred to your memorial. If not, maybe you can add or get your cousin to add the links to the other memorial. If you decide to go with your cousin's memorial, make sure the additions are made before you delete yours, so that no information is lost. I did that with a distant cousin, and it worked out well. Whoever retains their memorial should give credit to the other person, like "links and birth information provided by...". Good luck. Another consideration is the flowers that have been left on a memorial. If they don't have flowers on both sites, they should be informed of the new memorial number, so they can find it, and so they can leave flowers again.

I can advise you to send a merger request to firstname.lastname@example.org. However, beware...they take a long time (months) due to all of the various requests received. It would be best if you contact the other contributor and try to work out one mutually agreeable memorial. Good Luck!

I add the photo to Lucy's Memorial. The photo was not one of my best! The next time I am at the cemetery I will try and get a better shot. On the Cemetery Data Base the date of their marriage was listed as Sept. 13, 1919, but it didn't give a location.

So far the only headstone that I can see that is affiliated with my family is Milton King Williams in the Blanchard, McClain Cemetery.

Hello G Mounger, my name is Abby. I am contacting you to ask if it is ok if I use your photos of your headstones on a website I am affiliated with. The only ones that I am wanting to copy are my own distant family members and would be happy to give you credit for them. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks, Abby.

Can you tell me where the picture of Sarah Jane Shields Bales came from. I have someone on ancestry.com telling me that this is, and I quote "This is my great-grandmother (Sarah Ann Catherine Bales Born in MS on Nov 17th 1837) she was married to Elisha Cook)." I need to make sure this picture is posted correctly on my ancestry account. Thank you in advance for your help;
Hope you have a great Christmas!
