Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became a member of FAG almost 10 years ago. I love FAG more and more each year. I try to add as many pictures to FAG as time allows.

14 years ago my daughter had a digital camera that ran by floppy disk and that is when I started to take complete cemeteries. My own genealogy sometimes consumes my time so all the pictures I have are not added yet. Every chance I get I will add a bunch. I love how big FAG has become. I tell everyone about it and advise them to join. The more that joins the more pictures added. I have one request from FAG and that is to add a spot for obits.

I started doing genealogy in my middle 20's, I really got into it when my sister introduced me to a program called Family Tree Maker by Broderbund, my fathers Mormon family was in there. I found my grandmother had entered her genealogy to familysearch.org which has also come a long way and open to non members. My grandmothers information ended up on these disks. Now we have Ancestry and it is a wonderful program.

I took off from there. I consider myself very good at what I do and I am always willing to help others.

My dream with my best friend was to retire and get an RV and travel everywhere and anywhere and take pictures of any cemetery we passed. My dream ended when he passed away from pancreatic cancer. One of my fond memories of him is: he would come into the computer room and asked me if I was looking for my great great great in his Spanish tongue. I guess he really did not understand what I was doing but he was content just knowing I was near. I miss him very much.

I want to share one more special thing about myself, my father was a non active Mormon so I did not grow up in the church. I learned he was Mormon when I was in my 30's.

I went to a family reunion in Mississippi July 4, 2011 and got to meet my Mormon family. I have never in my life met such loving people in such large quantities. I was told by one of my cousins that I was chosen, I stopped for a minute and looked at her and said YES, I think I was.

Mormons believe by doing genealogy you are
gathering your family together for the next world. Mind you, I did not grow up in the church and did not know this about genealogy I just knew that I lived and breathed it and never knew why. After my trip I came home and was baptized into the Mormon faith and I love it so much. Like I said before, I have never in my life met so many loving people in such large quantities. Not knowing for so many years I was chosen to do Gods work and gather his children up makes me realize genealogy is not a fun past time but a chosen gift.

I normally do not talk about my personal life but I read other FAG'ers and that makes me know them personally. We are a family and I just love my family so now you know who I am. Hats off to the person or persons that created this awesome site and thank you all for making this a great place to go. Keep up the good work.
Love Cheryl

RE: Cemetery Picture,
You are welcome. I will try for a better photo of James "Jim" Brown. This stone was covered in pine needles and grass, looks like a long time. Keep checking back for a better photo. It "should" be dry from Wednesday to Friday next week. It all depends on the weather.

RE: Cemetery Picture,
COULD YOU SEND ME A FULL SIZE PICTURE OF # 7180014 Margaret Barkley King I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ALL THE NAMES ON THE STONE THANK YOU cmorales1@new.rr.com

Hello! In order to keep my computer running well, I have begun deleting photos once they have been uploaded to FindAGrave. Therefore, I am sorry but I do not have this photo any longer. I live within 20 miles (maybe closer) of this cemetary and could try to locate it for a retake. I'll send it to you if I get a chance.

Montgomery in Mt Moriah Cemetery, Memphis
I tried to fulfill your photo request for Emily Montgomery but could not find either of the Montgomery's stones. I also couldn't find them on:

http://register.shelby.tn.us/gravestone/viewimage.php?imgtype=pdf&image=2296_mount_moriah.tif

or

http://files.usgwarchives.net/tn/shelby/cemeteries/mtmoriah.txt

Instead, I submitted their death certificates showing they are buried in Mt Moriah Cemetery.

When I put these images up, they fulfilled your photo request. Can you resubmit your photo requests so that someone, someday might find their graves? Brenda in Memphis

RE: Cemetery Picture,
You are welcome. I do plan on getting some better photos, "IF" and "WHEN" it ever dries up on a "sunny" day. The weather and the cemetery people out there have been pretty busy.
