Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired educator who just recently began searching for my families history. I am interested in finding out as much as possible so that I may get it recorded for my grandchildren. Hopefully, they will pass their heritage along to future generations. I have found a lot of info at ancestry on most of my family. However, there is a lot more to learn. Since I became a photo volunteer at FindAGrave, I have been visiting cemeteries and taking photos for others who live a distance away. This has also been done for me. I have photos of family that I could not have obtained without the help of other volunteers. I have teamed up with 2 other Find-a-gravers, Dottie Gilder and WD and the three of us work together to get as much information as we can for all the cemeteries in Tattnall Co. Genealogy is fascinating and there is so much history to be learned.

Harrison Hanson Lewis
In several family trees, he is listed as being buried in the Collins-Lewis Cemetery in Tattnall County, GA. I have poured over records and cannot discover which collins cemetery this is, nor can I find a listing of Harrison or his wife Amy Naomi Charity Daniel. Should I find that list, I will let you know if they are indeed in the collins cemetery. Until then, I suppose listing them in the bio section as the parents of Eliza, noting that family history says they are buried in the Collins-Lewis family cemetery. Hope this helps.

RE: Gordons
My great aunt Gussie Gordon Johns had no marker on her grave. She is between Martha Brewer Gordon and Eason Gordon's grave. John is left of Martha.

RE: Cathcart
Janice, did some digging on ancestry and James Albert died July 6 1930.Death certificate states burial in Green Pond Cemetery,Woodruff. My wife has photoed some burials in Green Pond and says there are a lot of unmarked graves, but a search of both sites listed as green pond show no record. These sites have not been totally shot,so there could be a marker there.Hope this helps.A memorial could be made using death document as evidence.Doc. number is 14667 filed 7-8-1930.David.
