John James Abbott
Thanks for taking and posting the photo of John James Abbott's headstone. The double headstone with his daughter's name on it was a great help in locating census records for him. Your work as a Findagrave photo volunteer is truly appreciated.

Dr. Cunningham Sample
Thank you for taking the photo of Cunningham Sample's gravesite. It confirmed for me that there is no marker on his grave, just as there is no marker on the graves of his parents, Dr. Samuel Ramsay and E. Juliana Sample Ramsay. Apparently, his parents were originally interred in the Presbyterian burying ground on 12th Street and later moved to Spring Grove. According to Otto Juettner in his 1909 work Daniel Drake and His Followers, “[Dr. Samuel Ramsay’s] remains were interred in the old Presbyterian cemetery, now Washington Park, just in front of the Twelfth Street entrance. His tomb was the last one to be removed." I wonder if there had been markers in the Presbyterian cemetery and, if so, why they weren't moved to Spring Grove as well.
As I have never been to Spring Grove or to Cincinnati, I do appreciate your willingness to take the photo for me. Thanks!
