" Are All The Children In "
I think oftimes, as night draws nigh,
Of an old farmhouse on a hill,
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will;
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
"Are all the children in?
'This many and many a year since then,
And the old house on the hill
No longer echoes to childrens feet,
And the yard is still........so still;
But I see it all as the shadows creep,
And tho' many the years have been,
Since then I can still hear mother ask,
"Are all the children in?'
I wonder if when the shadows fall
On that last short, earthly day,
When we say good-bye to the world outside,
All tired from our childish play;
When we step out into that Other Land,
Where mother has long since been,
Will we hear her ask, just as of old-
"Are all the children in?"

|Charles (Foster) Johnson||John Alexander Foster|
I do know Martha is John Alexander Foster wife, one record wrote Morrison was Martha Foster last name, now Donnell is her last name ? I do know they are husband and wife and should be linked together.

Thank you for your consideration in transferring Jodie Dickens Memorial to me.
|Buddy Lundmark||Jodie Dickens Memorial #106254103|
I would like to have the above memorial transfered to me.
Jodie Dickens was the husband of my great aunt Fannie Foley Dickens, who is buried along side Jodie Dickens. I would also like to family link Fannie to Jodie and add their daughter Oda Dickens Andrews to the family profile.

Thank you for posting this newspaper obituary notice for George W. Cox.
George W. Cox is my 3rd great-grandfather, and I've searched for his Tennessee burial site for many, many years. I am descended through his 4th-born daughter, Laura Amanda Cox Youngblood, who was my maternal g-g-grandmother. Laura moved to Panola County, Texas in 1884, with her husband and four young children. George's widow, Tabitha, also moved to Panola County, Texas sometime after 1910 (when she was 81 years old), and she was buried there in 1922.
Do you know the source of this newspaper obituary notice for George?
Also, I see that his burial place is listed as "Presbyterian graveyard, Jasper." Do you know if this cemetery is still in existence? Is it connected with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jasper, TN?
I've searched Marion County, TN cemeteries on the internet in an attempt to locate this one, but I've had no success to date. I suspect that I need to know the actual name of the "Presbyterian graveyard in Jasper," as it was known in 1899.
I'm coming to the Jasper/South Pittsburgh/Sweeden's Cove area next month (October 2015) to do further family history research on my Cox, Raulston and Youngblood ancestors from Tennessee.
Any information that you can share with me regarding the actual cemetery name where George W Cox is buried, or the source of the newspaper obituary which you so kindly posted here, will be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for your contribution of this newspaper obituary - it was an absolutely tremendous gift for me, and it couldn't have come at any better time!

|Nancy Garbero||Thank you!|
Thank you so much for transferring Beulah Cooke's site to me. Crazy, all their family records, city directories, all read Cooke as their last name! and her husband Charles Louis Cooke went by Louis or Charles. I put his details after her obituary I posted on her site.
|Hamilton Smith||Mary Tittle|
There are two Mary Tittles in the Tittle Cemetery. I believe this one is a duplicate - can you double check your records?
I am a Cannon County descendant and Mary Elizabeth Nabors Tittle was born in 1852 and died in 1926.
She married George Washington Tittle born to David F. Tittle b. 12 Nov 1817 Warren Co. (now Cannon) and Margaret Nabors b. 04 Mar 1822. Margaret attended Lookout Valley Primitive Baptist Church. Her dad was Benjamin Nabors and her mom was Mary V. Sullivan.
Barbara Smith Dunn
-granddaughter of Maudie Virginia Tittle Smith b. to Samuel C. Tittle who married Sarah A. Lance b. to William Lance and Sarah A. Miller.
|Vic Robertson||RE: Temperance Lewis Smith|
I'm not concluding anything about it's truth. But if it is true, I'd like to know as she is one of my ancestors. I just don't add anything to my tree without documentation or at least a constellation of circumstantial evidence. Just because someone says a relationship exists isn't good enough. On Ancestry.com there are many many untrue "viruses" that spread.
|Vic Robertson||Temperance Lewis Smith|
Hi Vicki, do you have any documentation that Temperance's father was Barnet Smith? Thank you!
