Bio and Links
Hi, I am gathering my ancestors on Find A Grave and am a descendent of Eleanor Thomas b. 1820 and Jehu "John" Rucker b. 1816, both from Ohio. The ancestral connection to Peter Rucker of Virginia, the first Rucker to arrive in America, has finally been made.

My ancestral trail is Peter Rucker (Virginia) to James Rucker (Virginia) to Lemuel Rucker (Virginia, Ohio) to Ambrose Rucker (Virginia, Ohio, Iowa) to Jehu Rucker (Ohio) to Benjamin Rucker (Ohio, Nebraska, Arkansas) to Allen Rucker (Ohio, Nebraska, Oklahoma) to Albert Rucker (Nebraska, Oklahoma, California, Arizona)

I have a virtual cemetery with non related Ruckers in it. If you find one in there that is your Ancestor I will be glad to transfer the memorial to you.

Feel free to leave a message with any information or questions.

John P. & Elizabeth (Keepers) Carr
Grave Memorials #82553743 & 82553770

Parents to Elvira F. Markwell.

Elvira is listed as an adopted daughter of John P. Carr in the 1880 census, Vienna, Scott Co., IN. It is possible that Elizabeth (Keepers) Carr was previously married to a Markwell

John P. and Elizabeth had not children.
Elvira Markwell was John P.'s neice, daughter of his deceased sister Isabella who married William A. Markwell in Scott Co. in 1867. Isabella died in 1872.

I am descended from Thomas and Elvira (Parker) Carr, parents of John P. & Isabella and have done much research on this Carr family.

#167095701 Mary, wow thanks for the extensive bio edit. Just posted this memorial hoping to find some family and there you were. The last name is the same, but have you lucked out and found family with Thomas? Always ask.

I agree that we have a duplicate record. I would like to use my picture but you can maintain the memorial. But the tombstone indicates she was married with Thos. Gulick

RE: Prichard photos
Thanks. I transferred Catherine to you. These were the only Prichards I saw in this lot.

RE: Prichard photos
May I also transfer Catharine Prichard's memorial to you (same Cemetery/Lot & family)? Thanks

RE: Prichard photos
You are very welcome. I also added the photo to Betty Lucille Prichard's memorial #110323431, but her burial location needs to be added & I wasn't able to do that.

Crelia Rucker 129062623
Mary,
I am working with the SW Historical Society and have found information about Crelia if you would like to add it to her bio.
Crelia married Samuel M. Overton in Appanoose, Iowa on May 7, 1906. They moved to Gradenspot, Stevens, WA where he was a farmer in 1910. Sam must have died before 1921...I can't seem to locate he or Crelia in 1920. But there is a Washington marriage license on March 15, 1921 for Crelia E. Overton and Rev. Francis H. Calder. Rev. Calder died April 25, 1925 (Crelia was his second marriage) and by 1930 Crelia is living in the Samuel and Jessie Kenney Home in West Seattle. I have posted an article written in 1937 about Crelia. Her WA death record shows she died using the name Crelia Calder. I have placed an edit for her name if you would accept the edit.

Do you by any chance have a photo of Crelia that the Historical Society could use? We would acknowledge your ownership.

Thank you - Ann

Rucker Pass (or Gap)
Mary, where did you get your information on James Rucker leading his family through Rucker Pass? I have long wondered how this geographic feature got its name.

Thanks
