Hello Fellow Find-A-Gravers and ancestry hunters!|
I found Find a grave via doing my family tree on ancestry.com.
I'm from Nelson, New Zealand so if you have a family member buried here or need help with something I can try to help you.
Findagrave site itself is not meant to be offensive it is meant to be there to honour and remember loved ones, please don't think we are out to make anyone unhappy this is just not the case, if you wish to have a memorial removed please contact me in private to discuss.

If I am not related to the person, I will be happy to honor transfer requests to relatives of the person in question. I like for the memorials to be in a relative's care.
When I complete a photo request, I keep all the original images. My photos may be used and reposted for personal use and not for profit. I do appreciate when people credit me as the source, just as a courtesy.
Whenever possible I will try to include photos of couples graves and family plots with Mums and dads with their children and general family plots.

Thankyou so much for visiting my little guy Alex and for helping me keep his sweet memory alive. I visited your siblings and your history really touched me. I have added you to my friends list and will continue to visit them. Have a blessed Christmas. Allison

You might be able to get some info from https://bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/home/ to try and work out who is related to who.

Yes you may use the photos for the Fitzgeralds that I added.

This is a private, company run cemetery that does not like to give out information to non-relatives. If I happen across the headstone while I am photographing large sections of the cemetery, I will be happy to post it. This is a HUGE cemetery, so I may not get the whole thing done for years.

Thank you for the kind words. My public messages are off because I kept getting a lot people sending SAC info via the public messages with no memorial numbers, etc. It was becoming a real problem so I just shut it off. Missing nice messages like yours is the downside.

Sorry abiout not enough info. I found a photo on the web but obviously do not have the right to it and so would still love to have a photo for Find A Grave. The photo is located at http://www.new-zealand-pictures.com/2012/05/thomas-cawthron-1833-1915/. It's a tall obelisk on aplatform; looks like it is on a hill with trees all around.
Another site mentions that there is a board at the entrance of the cemetery that indicates the location of Thomas's grave. I'm sorry I don't have more to go on.
