|Amelia Stone||Sarah "Sally" Sharp Shaw|
In researching my Ogle family, I've come across the memorial for Sarah "Sally" Sharp Shaw #19591532. I believe that the Sharp last name is in error.
My ancestor is Polly Ann Sharp, daughter of Levi Sharp b. approx 1779 in NC. I haven't traced his full line, but I have found his will in which he lists his heirs as follows: "After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts I give, devise, and bequeath unto my beloved children and step-children to wit Enos Sharp, Marinda Elam, Margaret Sweet, Polly Ann Ogle, Barbara Ogden, Edwin Morgan, Levi F. Morgan, and Martha Ann Chambers, the sum of five dollars each respectfully and also five dollars to the lawful heirs of Sarah Shaw, deceased." (Illinois, Wills and Probate Records, 1772-1999) The will was probated on May 18, 1854 in Clark County, IL, and the witness to the will is dated March 19, 1860 - WR Griffith and my ancestor Peter Ogle witnessed. Sarah Shaw died in 1852.
I looked for a marriage record for a Sarah or Sally Sharp to a Shaw, but came up with nothing. Working on the "stepchildren" hunch, I searched for Sarah Morgan and turned up an 1839 marriage in Clark County, Illinois to a William Shaw. (Illinois, County Marriages, 1810-1934). I am in the firm belief that your Sarah Shaw's maiden name would be Morgan rather than Sharp.
If you already know this or have information that countermands these beliefs, please either disregard or let me know. I tried to email, but it bounced. Thank you for your time!
Amelia C. (Ogle) Stone

|Nancy Tuohy||Looking for John Wenthold|
Hello I am thinking that John Wenthold b 1832 in Hanover, Germany is buried at St. Francis. He lived with his wife Mary in Military Township, Winneshiek, Iowa, until his death in the early 1900.
His wife my 2nd great aunt is buried at St. Francis Cemetery. I am hoping that he is also at St. Francis but cannot find a record of him.
Are you able to assist me?
Nancy Koch Tuohy

|Bev Boyer||James & Emma Brown Requests|
You requested photos of the gravestones for James & Emma Brown. I found obituaries for both that indicate they are buried at Grove Lake Cemetery in Pope Co. and not in Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery of Pope Co. I tried to email you regarding this with the articles but the email would not go through. Email me, and I will try again.

|Dick Scheit||Kneeskern Family Bio|
I am writing a second time to ask that the Bio of the Kneeskern family, that was posted by David Decou be corrected or removed so it could be corrected. The story of the Kneeskern Family written by Hiram Wilson has many errors. #1 The Kneeskern family is of German decent, not Dutch. #2 Aaron Kneeskern did not serve in the Civil War. The first husband of Eliza Walker Kneeskern's did. He was William H Walker.
Would it be possible for you to let me to manage the Kneeskern sites. I am of the Kneeskern Family.
