Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I enjoy doing research on my extended family, something I inherited from both sides of the family. Their work has given me a headstart. Families that I'm researching include Lapham, Wixson, Hillyard-Hyliard, Jesseph, Rappleye, Van Nuys, Ellison, Cantrell, Gennrich-Genrich, Wilk-Wilkie-Wilczewski, Hoff, and Filipowicz-Phillips. And my wife's family Sawyer, Mumm, Limb, Curry, Barkuloo, Schmidt, and Green.
If I can be of any assistance, please ask. I would also like to thank those in the Find A Grave community for the huge role that you play - THANKS!

A few things I've learned...
Death certificates are good for date and location of death (other info on death certificate is advisory).
Birth certificate is the best source for date of birth, location, and parents.
Info from headstones is also advisory too. Headstones are sometimes put in place decades later by descendants and errors are made.

RE: Emma Rastatter Heim
Maybe it was Saint Joseph's - not Mason City - it was a whole, long story about the family coming over from Italy.

Now you know how long it takes for me to search all Swan Lake pictures - it's Mayme who's on the stone with him at Swan Lake. If I pump up hte size of the picture, that's the name to the right of the flowers, but I don't have a picture of her half of the stone. It's right next to my grandparents, though, so it won't be hard to find.

RE: Emma Rastatter Heim
I have Wilbur Zimmerman married to Ethel Bessie (born about 1910) and Mayme Dantone. I thought there was a Dantone family from Italy in the Mason City Cemetery, but I can't find them on Find A Grave. I will have to look around for them and see if Mayme if from their family.

I took Ethel off, as WIlbur's wife, until I can find a picture of a gravestone for her - I have a lot of pictures from Swan Lake and it will take a while for me to find the other half of Wilbur's stone.

Thanks for helping - I have six days ahead of me when I don't have much to do but Find A Grave.

RE: Emma Rastatter Heim
You're welcome. Those were the last two pictures I took at Swan Lake. I'll have to go find them and continue from there.

RE: Emma Rastatter Heim
I would prefer that you create them - I have only one operational eyeball. I can upload the pictures pretty well, but let me know if I mess up the dates! Thank You.

Hello Stephen,
I found it on his WWII draft registration card.
BTW his middle name is Ferdinand.

Emma Rastatter Heim
If you would like to put up memorials for Emma Rastatter Heim (25 Sept 1889 - 28 Sep 1955) and William H Heim (6 May 1884 - 26 June 1950) at Swan Lake Cemetery, I have pictures for them.

Oh, bless you Stephen

Can't tell how surprised I was to find Aunt Annie this morning.

But how on earth did you find her?
We've no clues she was in IL, that wasn't her line. She was maternal grandpa's line, not grandmas.

Do you know anything more about her time in Ill?

Oh, Stephen I can't thank you enough.

I thought she was lost forever, like another sister who disappeared in IN.

Thank you so very much.
