I have always loved to visit cemeteries. Sometimes the stories are obvious and some you can only imagine. I also love to take pictures so it was a natural for me to become a photo volunteer. I also wanted to make a memorial to my stepdaughter Brittney who died from injuries from an automobile accident. That is why I originally ended up on this site. I have gotten more out of this site than I ever expected to. It has helped me in grief,and I have found some very nice people on here also. It has given me a reason to get out of the house and get some exercise! (looking for headstone can be a challenge sometimes!) I have found family in far away cemeteries. This is just the best site ever!|

Rose Hill records contain many errors in both spelling and burial locations. Those you look for may have grave markers, but are at a different location. In which case, luck has to be a factor in finding them.
|Mike Sykes||Frank Shipley|
Margie, Rose Hill Cemetery records show Frank was buried Apr 6, 1938. However, I have made a photo survey of the entire block 8, and have no photo for him. There are dozens of unmarked spaces, broken stones and those that are too deteriorated to read. It appears his grave is one of those.
Wish I had better news.

|Lloyd Holman||RE: Transfer Of Memorial #48354720|
Thanks Margie. I wasn't aware of the transfer restrictions at the time of my request or perhaps I forgot.
|Lloyd Holman||Transfer Of Memorial #48354720|
Hi Margie, thank you for the transfer of the memorial of H B Holman (48354720). After looking at the transfer guidelines I have found that I don't qualify for a transfer. H B Holman is my 3rd great uncle and transfers should be for direct relatives within four generations. If you want the memorial back I can transfer it back to you. If your Ok with the transfer I'll keep it. Just wanted you to know about the guidelines. I can send a link if you need it.
|Bailey Alabama||Mary Baile Remley (1826-1870)|
Hello! Do you have a photograph of Mary Bailey Remley's husband's site? Mary Bailey Remley has a tombstone and her Find a Grave listing is 21649037. Mary Bailey was married to Michael Remley. Michael survived her by many years. Michael was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Alabama and he settled in Drew County, Arkansas. We cannot locate his grave or his death records. Michael Remley (1817-Feb. 1885) and he married Fay Jones around 1879. Fay Jones Remley moved to California late in life. Thank you for all the hard work you do for Find a Grave. We are thrilled that you took a photo of our ancestor Mary Bailey Remley's final resting place.
