I live just blocks from Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, Orange County, FL. It's beautiful, and I'd be happy to take a photo if one is needed. I LOVE going to the cemetery!

I have been actively photographing and documenting the older sections of Greenwood. I am currently going through all their records to make sure we get everyone on findagrave.

I'll gladly transfer management of memorials upon request, no matter what your relation (unless they are my relatives - but I will transfer a relative to a direct descendant if I am not one). I create every memorial with the hope that their family will find them. Every transfer request I receive makes me know its worth it.

Please let me know if you find any errors or I've duplicated a memorial, I'll fix it! It's so important to have dates correct and names properly spelled - but we all make mistakes, and sometimes the markers are very difficult to read.

Feel free to use my photos (with credit to me - Merf works) for your personal genealogical project. My photos are of public places, and of no artistic (I can guarantee that!) merit. I don't believe I "own" a simple snapshot of someone else's grave marker. I volunteer here to SHARE and to make sure memorials are as accurate as possible. HOWEVER, photos of people - such as my relatives that I have posted...I do require permission prior to use or visible credit to me and that they came from findagrave.

My mother and I are researching our family who settled in Lee, Phillips and Monroe County, Arkansas.

In particular, we are desperately searching for parents and siblings of Thomas Trotter Bonner, who settled in Spring Creek, AR. He married Elizabeth Shackelford Bonner in 1834 in Marengo Co., AL.

Current projects:

Assisting my mom and the Annie H. Darracott UDC Chapter out of Lakeland, Polk Co, FL in the documentation of Confederate Veterans.

Completing FAG entries for Greenwood Cemetery using various sources including cemetery records and undertaker records. I'm only concentrating on the lettered, older sections.

Family surnames: Allen, Allred, Bonner, Coble, Estes, Gaines, Garrison, Gearhart, Gower, Hale, Harris, Higginbotham, McGee, Mauney/Mooney, Ottertail, Raymer, Redditt, Waldron, Walker, Whitfield

Mrs. Alice Daniels
Merf, Please note that Alice Daniels and Alice Lord Daigneau may be the same person. Alice was married to Francois Daigneau. On the marriage certificate in 1900, her name is Alice Storey. I found them in the 1900 census as Daniel and Alice Francis. After Alice's death, Francois would also be known as Francis Daniels, Francis Daigneau, then back to Francois Daigneau. Have I confused you? No worries, Alice and Francois were my great grandparents, with their son Clyde being my grandfather. Clyde is buried next to "Alice Lord Daigneau" in Christmas Cemetery.

RE: Memorial # 105801780 Frederick A Guile

Thanks so very much for the requested information...and so quickly!!

Am so sorry about the loss of your hard work...I feel a little bit of your pain. For me, it was discovering the taking down of hundreds of memorials (not mine)from a single cemetery. I had taken many, many photographs of the graves there over the period of a year or so. It was not my best day!

I sure appreciate what you do and am very thankful you were able to help me.

All the best,

Memorial # 105801780 Frederick A Guile
Hi Merf,

Back in January, I printed a page for the above which included a funeral register and burial invoice which had some info that I needed. Unfortunately, the copy I have is unreadable(I thought I could go back to Find A Grave). That information and the photo of the grave are no longer on the site. Would you be able to reload this info or send to me via email?

Thanks for your time.

Transfer to Me
Thank you for the un-solicited transfer of Marguerite Oswald Hess. I appreciate that she is now linked to the memorials of her parents.

RE: Bailes
Same here. I added a few obits from Greenwood's recent burials calender with just the plot numbers. I did about a dozen of those and they don't have photos. If you come across any or if anyone requests a photo, please do add it. :)

RE: Go Mike!
I have had a few of those. Pay it know mind, that is what I do.

I do this for the good people, the bad can kiss my ...

What can they do. I find the asses are the ones who do very little of finding graves for others, the ones out working are ones they attack.

Just keep up the good work, and do what I do. Smile when you piss off a do nothing.

RE: William B. Williams and family
Many thanks. I'll do just that. You certainly do go an extra mile and being so far away from Florida, I truly appreciate it and you.

William Boroughs Williams
Many thanks for posting information on William Boroughs Williams. I have looked for him many times over many years. He was a brother to my maternal Great-grandmother, Nancy Jane Williams Stamm/Stomm.

Would you please connect William to his parents? Samuel's FindAGrave number is: 66799470 and Margaret's is: 147861260, I just added her today! I have connected Margaret to her parents and am not sure of Samuel's parents, yet.
