Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For loved ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

I had always heard that Laura Gertrude Catherine Ham Bogart had died of childbirth complications and William Louis Bogart died after a railroad accident. It's interesting to note you found something different.

Thank you so much for doing this kind deed for me. I was sure he was there because the book I was reading had him placed next to Laura. They had several children, one of which was my great-grandmother, but not all of them are listed on their page. How can I get that information added?

Hi Chris, thanks for transferring Jennie Wishman's memorial to me. I also see that you had created this memorial for one of their daughter's Irene Warner. Would you mind transferring her memorial to me as well so I can update her information. The other two children, Zella and John C have memorials as well created by someone else. Thank you

RE: John C Wishman
Thank you so much for all the work you did in locating the information on John C Wishman. I would live to have a copy of his death certificate if you would email me a copy of it I would appreciate it very much. My email is I will do his memorial in the next couple days at Angeles Abbey. I assume when you say mausoleum he was cremated. Thank you again so much.
