Hello I'm John T. Griffith, born in Oceanside California, a Viet Nam War U.S. Army M.P. Veteran and a former CHP Officer. In September 2002, I assisted the National Archives Center, Missouri, in replacing lost and destroyed U.S. Army files. It was during that research project I discovered Find A Grave, wanted to be a part of it's concept and became a member. I have always had a passion for history and the people who have lived it. People in everyday life who through the needs and demands of their times shaped the world. I believe each day is a gift and the best part of any day is that day. I'm also a professional musician and have shared the stage with many named artists. In addition, I'm a vintage guitar expert have contributed, plus co-wrote for many vintage guitar books and articles in Vintage Guitar magazine about the subject. Plus a photographer, writer and historian, for the San Diego Reader. I will gladly transfer any of my bios to relatives or folks with a concerned interest. I, my wife Mary and our Dachshund "Timmy", reside in Vista, California. Thanks and best regards, John|

Hi John, Thanks very much for your reply, I will try and see if I can reach someone at both cemeteries to try and get this issue clarified. I did get a photo of marker on mausoleum wall at Lincoln, that's main reason I feel he is there and not Evergreen, I will let you know what I find. My spouse is from Carlsbad, we just were in Oceanside yesterday to visit his family. Respectfully, Jerry
Thank you for leaving information about my brother Buddy Winkelspecht's death on his memorial site. We made up part of the heavy metal band Asylum in South Jersey in the 80's, along with virtuoso guitarist Rick Kelly, aka Eric Jankowski. I wonder if he is still alive, we lost touch long ago....

I found your name as the person who wrote a great memorial to Hopalong Cassidy. I was a big fan of his also and I have an original newspaper clipping with his photo from a Hawaiian newspaper in 1972. I would like to add to his page but it's not accepting any more photos. Have you any suggestions?
Thank you for any help!

After looking many years for any info I could find on Joe, I finally found him here. Thank you for honoring him and giving others the chance to honor him for his sacrifice to his country. I will continue to search for any information I can find on him to also honor his parents who may have waited years to hear from/about him, praying and hoping.
Daughter of Jessie Holtby (Morgan) Williams.
Thanks for your note! I was very honored they chose my biography for Muhammed Ali. I spent last night composing it and hope it honored who he was and what he stood for. I enjoy your work on findagrave very much. I'm so glad you wrote. Thank you!

Thank you for researching this man. He is a relative of mine that we always knew about but could not flesh out his military career. My Fathers records were also lost in the Missouri fire but he had enough things left over from his service that we could put it together. We had always visited his grave in Jasper IN but did not know much about his military history. My grandson is also grateful as he is a Civil War buff at 9. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for all the quick updates, John ! Just found these distant cousins of mine. We both ended up in California from upstate NY, except they were some 45 years earlier :) Thanks for creating all the Memorials at Oceanview, would have never found them without your work.
